azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago While I was pregnant with my 1st my friends sister was studying to be a midwife...well during her studies she learned how to do pregnancy masssage. She learned many pressure points that are supposed to help induce labor...the day before I was to be induced she tried them out on me...later that night I started getting contractions....they werent strong and I'll never know if it was the message or just nature. But it would be worth a try...at least you'll get a nice massage out of it!!

Make sure you stay firm....dont give in just because you are in public. I know it can be embarassing and sometimes giving in would be a lot easier than dealing with all the stares...but then you just create a bigger monster. They'll learn that this is the time to throw the fit because then they get what they want. Distractions are also great ways to redirect their attention. Bring favorite toys, snacks while waiting for food, or whatever else seems to calm your child. If all else fails remove them from the situation...walk outside for a minute...until she has calmed down. I have had to do that a couple times! Just stay firm and calm...and just ignore everyone else. And remember every parent has been in that situation!! Good Luck!! Heather

So if we do go camping it'll be up in the White Mountains...I just love it up there! I would love to go to Cali and take the kids to DisneyLand and Sea World...but its just too expensive for us right now. Hopefully soon though!! Heather

Instead I have been trying to shop at Walmart...I seem to save a little..although the aggravation of going there might out weigh the positives... Heather
