I think thats a great idea. I know when I had my first child I could have used something like that.

I agree with everyone else, you really should go to the dr. It could very easily be something like teething, but its always better to be safe than sorry. As mentioned before you should have all your information ready for the dr, it'll make things a lot easier. I usually write my stuff down before going. I know once I get there I usually forget somethings, so writing them all down helps out a lot.

I hope things get better for your little baby, and you and your girlfriend. What you are doing is great. Working 2 jobs and then having to come home to an unhappy house takes a lot out of you. Make sure you take care of yourself also, you dont want to burn yourself out.

Good luck to you and your family!!

Before Jacob was born I thought the same thing. Some people I think really try to control their kids in those situations, and you can tell. They have the look of embarassment, they're trying to get their kids under control, then the kids seem to get even worse. As if they are feeding off the parents embarassment. I have also seen the other parents that dont even seem to care, and those are the parents that really annoy me.

Now that Jacob has been born he has given us a couple incidents where we where the ones feeling embarrassed. 2 times in the restuarant, once in the library and a few times in the grocery store. He is only 21 months old, and its not like I can sit him down reason with him and move on. The times when he did act out I left the restuarant and went outside until he relaxed then went back in. I felt like everyone was starring at me and it was pretty embarrasing. Since the last incident we havent been out to eat. We do plan to try it again, but this time I am going to be prepared. With him being so young I think the key might be to just keep him entertained. Favorite toy, blankie, pacifier, and snacks while waiting for food. Hopefully that'll work!

If anyone has advice for a little one like him please let me know!!!

My son is 21 months old and just this week he has gotten really bad at not listening when I tell him "no". He'll scream at me, try to smack, smack himself, or just look at me and continue what he was doing. He wont do timeouts, he just screams and throws a fit. I even remove him from whatever he is doing, but later he'll go back and do the same thing again. So I am stuck with just saying "no" to him all day long. If I were to get a nickel for every time I say no, I would be a millionare by the end of the week.Surprised

He is completely different from when my other 2 were his age, so I almost feel like I am a new time mom, I am completely blank as to what else I could try to get him to mind. Please help me with some ideas that I can start trying.

Thank you!!Smile

Question.....My son and daughter both bring home tons of papers each week from school. Tests, graded homework, colorings or just special projects they have made. I save everything!! I just cant bare to throw it away. So my questions is what do you do with your children's school papers? Do you save some and throw away others, or do you save all of them. As of right now, I have filing boxes with all of their papers. I feel way to bad to throw them away, but at the same time I am just building up a whole bunch of clutter......Any suggestions?

I had the same problem. I found that after I deleted it if I pressed the space bar then saved, it would officially delete it. Try that!!

If you think he can handle it, then you should take him. I would love to go, but for all of us its too expensive. I think it would be a great experience, especially if he is really into science.

Personally I think a woman should try to cover herself while breastfeeding, at least with her shirt. With all of the nursing clothes out there it can easily be done. While I was breastfeeding my youngest son, if I was in public I would go to the car, close the visors, and then nurse, with a blanket covering. I am a very private person, so I was mainly doing it for myself. In a way I can understand people being uncomfortable with it, but what I dont understand is why it has become such a big deal. Such a big to deal to completely ban it in public.

What bothers me more though is when I turn on the tv with my children in the room and a victoria secret commercial is on with a half naked woman rubbing her hands on herself, with her hair blowing. Or lately a new commercial promoting lubricating gels and them showing people all over the house throwing their clothes off in bed and the bathtub. If those things arent such a big deal, how can breastfeeding be a big deal?

Making Stuff out of homemade dough is fun. Flour, salt water. We just made some X's and O's for a valentines day decoration. Just mix up the dough and cut out cute shapes. Then bake, cool, and paint!! Its pretty fun. Jacob is 21 months and he likes to just squeeze it in his hands.

Hope this has helped you a little!!
