azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago How horrible!! I cant understand how someone could do something so sick, and to their own child. I feel really bad for the mom having to find her child that way. That is just so sad.Heather

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I most definetely believe that an unwed father has rights to his baby. I think it also has a lot to do with the situation. If has been in trouble a lot with the law, or is involved in drug use then I think he should lose his rights. I also think the same thing for an unwed mother. For a father that is in the military, I dont think he should be punished for serving his country. I guess a lot of it has to do with different situations. Thats just my 2 cents. Heather

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago We went through that last year. We all had it. Jacob was throwing up and had diarrhea for a few days. I took him to the dr, and she said what everyone else did. Pedialyte, and light food if he holds it. She also said popsicles are good too.I hope Simon starts feeling better soon! Heather

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I have heard it also. After the birth of my first daughter, my dr told me that it is not a reliable method of birth control. Instead she prescribed a birth control pill, that I guess wasnt the full dose, and she told me as long as I was breastfeeding and taking that pill it was ok. But as soon as I stopped breastfeading I needed to come in and get a prescription for the regular pill.Heather

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago The kids all loved Enya. We would play her cd's in the car all the time. Jacob also loved The Wiggles and Hap Palmer. We never used a cd player in their room, it was just when we were in the car that they needed music to calm them down. The didnt like driving around that much.Heather

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Jacob is almost 2 and he still doesnt listen to the word "no". He knows what it means, but he tests us everytime we say it to him. I have now started counting to 3 to him in a firm voice. He knows that at 3 I am coming over to get him, so by 2 he usually stops what he is doing. He also smacks, not as much as he used to, but he still does. He'll smack and then look at you with his mouth open. Like he is waiting to see what you are going to do. Sometimes I pretend to cry, and sometimes I tell him that hurts mommy, and he needs to be nice. They are just trying to test us, and to see how far they can go. Just keep being firm with him. I have seen in other posts giving time outs. Jacob is almost 2 and doesnt seem to understand that yet, but I guess its worth a try. Good Luck! Heather

azheatherJoined: 9/02/06 Posts: 1038 | Posted: 2 yearss ago Our kids havent really had any crushes yet. My son has said that the kids say his teacher is "hot", but he hasnt shown any signs of having a crush on anyone specific. Neither has my daughter, she is in 2nd grade and my son is in Kindergarten. I am actually suprised they havent had a crush yet....my first crush was Tom Selleck.Heather
