Wow...thats scary!! My kids always fell asleep in their carseats. (with the exception of JacobUndecided)

Hopefully they'll come out soon with a carseat that can help prevent this. I know I always worried how their little heads would slump over, and the little head supporters never really worked for us.

Thanks for the info!!

I never did any lamaze classes, and I was completely fine. I read A LOT of books, and attended 1 class when I was pregnant with my 1st. The class was mainly a walkthrough on pregnancy, and then we were given a tour of the birthing center. As things turned out I ended up giving birth in the hospital. Which was a blessing in disguise. I was planning the whole natural birth, in a birthing center.Surprised

Most of the stuff I learned was through books, and friends. My friend at the time was training to be a midwife, so that helped out a lot!!

I completely agree with what everyone has said. Take a time out! With my youngest son, I have tried to take a completely different approach then with my other children. With my other kids I was in such a rush for them to grow up. I couldnt wait until they were old enough to talk, walk, and to be able to verbally express their needs. Once they reached those stages and got older I was wishing they were babies again. When my youngest was born, I was dreading the days where he would walk, and talk. Because I now knew how fast time goes by. I wanted to cherish ever moment!! So whenever I was in a situation where I couldnt calm him down, or he wasnt sleeping through the night, I would just tell myself that one day I will miss these moments. I know it sounds weird....missing sleepless nights or a screaming baby!! But it is really true. So I would just put on a smile and hold him, rock him or whatever seemed to help. And yes their have been times where it has been very hard, and at those times I also take a time out. I'll just put him in his bed, walk away sit on the couch, and after only a few minutes I am ready to try again. And after that my energy is calm, and I beleive they can sense that and they seem to relax also.

And just remeber, they are just babies. They arent crying to annoy us, or to make us mad. They are only crying because they truly need something.Smile

Hope things work out!!

I HATE getting up early. I get up a 5:45 and stay in a daze until about 7:30 or so. I dont drink coffee...I hate it!! I do pretty good until around 3:00 then I start getting s l o w. After the kids go to bed around 7:30, I get things ready for the next day, then I go lay down and watch tv until about 9:30-10.

If I didnt have kids I probably wouldnt get up until noon.Surprised

Kelrae I envy you!! I would love to be able to just get up and go.Laughing

Well, Sunday we finished putting up all the christmas lights, took the dogs for a walk and also installed a new gas dryer. The whole day was mostly that.

Usually Sundays are lazy family days. Sometimes we do grocery shopping, or home improvement stuff.

We have 2 dogs. Bud, shar pei/lab and Sugar shar pei/chow. Sugar is also pregnant, so soon we'll have more. (Not too happy about that. But that is a whole other story.Undecided)

We also have a cat. Baby Zoe, her actual name is Zoey. I call her the Diva Cat.

All of the pets are so good with the kids. Even Baby Zoe. Poor Baby Zoe, she has been pulled at, layed on, and at one time stuffed in the dresser drawer for almost a whole day!!Frown And not once has she ever scratched the kids!!

For me, I'd have to say my older sons whining. He is 6 years old and whines about everything. From not finding his shoes, to him not getting to the door first. He will whine about anything. Also with him starting Kindergarten this year he has now started lying.Undecided He will lie about the smallest things.

As for my daughter, her atittude.Surprised She gets an atittude a lot. Not only with me and her dad, but with her brother too.

As for my youngest son (20 months). The way he tests us. For example, whenever I tell him to leave something alone, or to come here. He gives a little look, like "What are you gonna do about it", and he'll just keep looking at you like that until you go over to him, then he screams.

I really like what you just wrote kelrae. It is so true! (where do you find this stuff??)

I cant believe a mother would choose her dog over her child. For her to take better care of her dog is crazy. I have seen so many times on the news about parents leaving their kids in the car for only a second and someone has come along taken the car and kid.

If she is that careless with her kid in public it worries me on how she cares for her child in her own home!!

She is an idiot!! Has she ever heard of something called Tylenol, or Midol??? Give me a break. I hear there is a possibility of jail time. GOOD!! Thats what she needs. She needs to learn that she is not invincible. If she does something wrong she is going to have to face the music, and dear old daddy cant pay her way out of everything.

We'll see though! Hopefully she goes to jail, and isnt just sentenced with probation and community service!
