My name is LeeAnn and I have been a SAHM for just over a year. Prior to that I was an Xray Tech for the past 20 years.
I have 2 beautiful little girls. Savannah is 5 and just started kindergarten. Shelby will be 3 on the 26th of this month. I suffered from infertility for years, so they truly are a blessing.
I am also the lucky Mom of my 22 year old daughter who is currently in her 3rd year of Nursing school and my wonderful stepdaughter that is 15. She lives with me full time and is a sophmore.
My hubby and I met online in 1997. We discovered that we lived just 2 blocks away from each other. We have been together ever since. We married in 1999 in Jamaica.
I love sending time with my girls, making hairbows and have recently begun sewing. I have 'issues' with matchig my 2 little ones, so making dresses and matching bows is an obsession of mine. | |

Mom2SavvynShelbyJoined: 8/29/06 Posts: 747 | Posted: 2 yearss ago My husband suffered from depression a while back and it ws impossible to get him to do anything! I spoke with his therapist about this. I didn't want to nag and make things worse, but with kids and dogs and the house to take care of, I needed help. What we came up with was basically the 'Honey Do' list. I out things on there that I needed him to do. Some were just for today and others were things that needed to be done, but not necessarily today. While he doesn't get everything done, at least he is aware of what I need help with and I don't have to nag.

Mom2SavvynShelbyJoined: 8/29/06 Posts: 747 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I went back to work when my little ones were 8 weeks old. I was SO hard. I was only working part time, but it still put the knot in my stomach. I have been a SAHM for just over a year now. Finances are tight, but with all the running around I have to do to get my girls to and from school, groceries, etc. it just wasn't possible.
Welcome!!

Mom2SavvynShelbyJoined: 8/29/06 Posts: 747 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I bought one of the originals for my niece. I was offered stupid somes of money for it. The hardest offer to turn down was when someone offered me Green Bay Packer Playoff tickets for it.

Mom2SavvynShelbyJoined: 8/29/06 Posts: 747 | Posted: 2 yearss ago I guess it depends on your age, etc. My hubby and I were 'old' when we got married. We also knew that I had issues in the getting pregnant department. We were married in October, in November he called around and found us a doctor to help us, our first appointment was in December and we actually got pregnant in January. (Unfortunately I miscarried in March). We got pregnant again in June and our first daughter was born in February. Good Luck with your decision!!
