mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1871 | Posted: 6 months ago Everyone lately has had to raise their prices to offset the hike in fuel prices. There is also pressure put on airports for better security . Sad that this just makes it harder for the common person to afford air travel. I am not sure though if all the blame falls on the air line companies.

mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1871 | Posted: 6 months ago Maybe think of it this way- Those who bring more luggage make more work for the airlines, through handleing, security etc. To me it seems like they are off-setting higher fuel, tightening security measures and Maybe if were lucky reducing the number of lost luggage I really don't think it will hurt- maybe encourage people to pack more sensibly.

mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1871 | Posted: 6 months ago When I was a kid it was called Show-Biz pizza. I know, I know the ball pit is an evil disease filled cavern but I miss it! What don't are kids stick their mouths on, Megan licked the playground slide the other day. Nolan when we went sat in the tubes crying because #1 he didn't know how to get out and #2 kids were pushing him. We had the naughty kid too that was trying to steal our basketball- then after we were done proceeded to climb on the basketball game- no parents. Parents big robot mouse does not equal a babysitter
mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1871 | Posted: 6 months ago Humm solar car I want one. No real traveling here. We have reduced long trips to save money. Next month Eric will be carpooling...saving about $75 every two weeks!

mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1871 | Posted: 6 months ago A dangerous ride was taken out of action here in WI, story here .... What is your take on Carnivals? I struggle with them. I always joke about how the workers can't take care of themselves how can I trust the ride. Had friend who worked at a grocery store right next was a traveling carnival about 2 times a year. She said they purchased alot of beer. I know their is that pre-concieved notion of carnivals and workers, but it is alot of money to spent on something I don't trust. They get taken apart so much- and are not checked at every stop. We have a little amusment park by us I take the kids too. It is stationary, has a great train ride. The owner hires retired men and women to run the rides and has maintence on hand at all times. I usally skip the carnival and take the kids there, alot safer, cleaner.
mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1871 | Posted: 6 months ago I marched when I was little, I twirled baton. We were the Bonnie Belle Baton troop and we wore red shirts and white shorts. In high school I marched with the band- I held the banner it was so frickin' hot and miserable.

mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1871 | Posted: 6 months ago Happy as in the celebrating part of Memorial Day, picnics, parades etc. But I do agree, as with most holidays, the true meaning is forgotten. The Veterans for Peace had an awesome mile memorial of all the soilders lost in the on going war, very powerful. |
