mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1870 | Posted: 8 months ago Dubai is a pretty free thinking Arab country, although their social class system sucks. I always hear on TV about people vacationing there- there are these huge beautiful buildings- but the people who build them are virtual slaves- I have no desire to go there because of this fact. Alot of what she says is food for thought-quite true but sometimes we have to remember it is a few bad apples, so to speak, that are spoiling the Muslim name. Muslims do value peace and it is the extremeist who are scarring their name, just my $.02

I do have some tips if you are interested in Craiglist and never have. 1. When I sell stuff I always have a set location so when people reply that they are interested in the item I tell them were to meet me. I pick our local Mcdonald's on one of our MAin Streets here in Sun Prairie. Mcdonald's is always busy so people are always around- always go during daylight too. 2.In the spirit of giving there is always those who are in need and I am willing to give. I always respond with what I have ect. But to this day I never haven gotten a responce back. These people are looking for $$$- They usally say I need girl size 12 months. People respond "I don't have that so I will give $$." after a couple of emails they have your e-mail maybe phone etc. Use discresion when replying to those types of ads. 3.before you post decide how little and how much you want for an item- this will help when people try to low ball you. 4.Never give phone number-or have people meet at your house! 4.

. I would much rather go to the OB/GYN and the dentist than go visit her or have her come here. She is Italian lady who came over in the 60's and wears the pants of not just her and her husbad but the ENTIRE family. She always has an opinion and never listens to my directions with my son. A few months ago, She came into my hubby and I's bedroom and took our comforter off and preceeded to tell me I make my bed wrong. Just out of the blue... I was like "WTF!" It's always something going on. When we were dating she claimed that I would lure him in, get married, take his money, and take the baby and money back to Virginia Haha- I love the part about OB/Gyn- Will your DH stand up to his mom. My sis has problems with her future MIL I think those problems will have a hard time resolving themselves unless the husband stands up to his mom for the wife. I did not like the part in the article that said wear your hair the way the mil suggested- in a way it is giving her power in the marriage- I know I have it easy but I see alot of family and friends who have this problems- and what would we do as women if our mothers or fathers treated our DH like crap- we would be upset, would we stand up for our DH? Sorry I just reread the article and S comment. I just think it is wrong that someone has to take critism over how there bed is made or hair is done. Sorry I will get off my soap box now
mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1870 | Posted: 8 months ago I think what is most frustrating is that there is things happening everyday that is deemed"not news worthy" by these news outlets can actual do some good or help a cause- There is 100 and 1000s of missing children in this world and we only hear about 25% of the children- even less. They report on alot of things that have no baring on normal everyday life.

It also got on the bottom of the 2 cookbooks I got for christmas. HEre is a pic of the books.... and this is the towel I had to use to pick up all the juice.....
