DH will Make fun of it but I tell him-look at how strong those guys are they can kick your a@#-that shut him up . I think we,as moms, just have to be that more supportive if our sons want to be dancers or gymnasts.

mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1870 | Posted: 9 months ago Walking Nolan into Nolans preschool today they have handicapp doors with the buttons to open it. When I had a double stroller I had Nolan push the bottons so I could get the girls in. Now that I am not doing child care I told him to not push the buttons. 1 there is a sign that says only push button when needed, of course we don't and 2 I am trying to teach Nolan about following directions. So today as I was telling Nolan not to push the bottons a lady behind me said "he can push them". First off I am p-oed because how dear you tell my kid what he can and nanot do I am his mom and I am right here. I am all for a villiage but know your place. 2 I am upset that I did not speak up- I am kicking myself for not telling that lady to stick it. Am I overreacting-

mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1870 | Posted: 9 months ago Okay I would say that I would never challenge a man to physical combat- not just because I am weaker then them but because I am smarter then him. What men can physically hold over a woman- a women can intellectually and sexually hold over a man. Just because us women don't fight like rabie stricken dogs doesn't make us the weaker sex. I do keep it in the back of my mind that any time a majority of man can physically overpower me, I need the tools to overpower him. I am just gonna venture out that Anty meant that for the most part men are physically stronger then woman, maybe this is a gender role we don't teach our girls to be strong and tough and fight back. maybe not so much biology but learned trait . Just a thought

If this isn't a person you know emailing him it might be random ladies sending it. You should see the T&A I get in my Myspace inbox, it is very sick. Unfortanatly I think you will have to confront him- he needs to know you can not walk all over you. I wish you the best. But you keeping yourself busy with the kids now is important- they need to feel your love more then ever!

-- Write down your thoughts and feelings before you talk with him, you need to cycle through the emotions and know what you want to communicate and get out of the conversation. I agree! that is great advice! | |
