When Nolan is trying to be cute he acts shy and will say to people"don't talk to me."  When he was younger he would see an african american baby and say" mom that is a brown baby"  that was embarrasing. 

In between Madison and Janesiville they had to call out the National guard 100s or even some estimates of 1000s of car trapped on I90 for almost a day now-pretty scary. I have to retract my last statement I am happy to be trapped in my house with my DH and DC!

Okay this really bust my buttons.  I know we are driven by the all mighty dollar, it's bad enough they trick us adults.  But children.  I think the thing that scares me about my lil' gal is I might get caught up in this crap.

It seems to me boys are easier to deal with when it comes to marketing, toys food, etc.  For every one boy commercial there are like 4 girls.  Barbie, Hannah Montana,Polly pockets, Lil' pet Shop......  buy my guy $.98 hotwheel and we are golden- I would love to hear from all moms on this especially if you have a DD who is of age.  I do keep it in check?  How do they respond to this stuff-
