With some of the other behaviors- I think say a quick "No" then ignore it. Then in private i.e bath time tell him those are his private etc. THis really worked for my son.

Now he says he "hates" the little girl I baby-sit and makes mean faces and pretends to hit her. I know he doesn't want to share his time. I have given him time outs and explained why she comes but nothing seems to work . Help

The book in 4th grade Catholic school that got rotated from the school library was " Are you there God it's me Margret" My Mom was so mad when I brought it Home- Then when it came time to have the "talk" it was "well you know". I teased my mom one time about it and she laughed and was so embarassed!

mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1529 | Posted: 9 months ago I do agree vaccines are important. I was concerned about how many my kids were getting all at once. My Dr. agreed and we spread out the shots more. I think the biggest concern in the article should be Dr. not listening or showing disdain for a parents questions. They are valid concerns about putting vaccines inside a child, and Dr. need to respect that!

mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1529 | Posted: 9 months ago I have been noticing alot lately that in all aspects of politics, social issues etc everyone passes the buck. It T.V., rap music, the schools. But when we have are finger pointed at someone else there are 3 more pointing back at ourselves. We need to teach our kids first, by our words and example, andthe rest is just gravy. I hope my kids can come to me when they feel pressures of sex. Iknow in the end it is their choice and I have to hope I taught them well.

Although what is fun for couples is a dinner and movie certificate. For my sis and her man this year birthday time I gave them tickets to see a Shakesphere play- They loved it

mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1529 | Posted: 9 months ago I agree - when social issues cross both political and religious lines there is bound to be differences. Knowledge is power. Polls like this too are not correct . because there is more then just one thing to consider. Teen pregnancy hits everyone but what social- economic class,, state to state comparisons. Even going School district to School district to compare these ratesof teenage sexuality. I think it might suprise everyone

mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1529 | Posted: 9 months ago Back when American Girl had 4 dolls , I wanted one so bad. I was a little older but something about them was enchanting. On Christmas morning "Santa" brought me Molly. I just had the doll for many years, then last year for Christmas my mom gave my daughter Molly's christmas dress. Ilove that I can pass it on to my daughter.

mommyo2Joined: 12/02/07 Posts: 1529 | Posted: 9 months ago We haven't seen Santa yet- I know my son will do fine I don't know about my daughter- We did go to The Paine Art Center in Oshkosh Wi and they had Nutcracker in the castle- each room in this mansion was a differnt scene from the nutcracker and as you walked in there was a large book with the story. My 4 year old said "Mom I am scared of big books" I know I will forget all the lovely trees and decorations I saw but I will remeber my sons lil laugh after he said that!
