I'm sorry Ana!  I can imagine how frustrating and scary that would be.  Just know that you are not alone, honey!  I am going to add prayers for you right now in Call on Jesus forum.  Whatever happens/happened just know that you have friends and support here, and more importantly, from our Father.

This one hits pretty close to home for me.  Even before Randy and I met, I had thouht that I would really like to have 4 kids.  And, coming from a larger family, Randy was in agreement with that.  I have to say that we had no trouble whatsoever in conceiving Emma.  I went off the pill a month after we got married, and the next month I was pregnant.  Then with Timothy, it seemed like it happened as soon as we started trying again.  I knew family and friends that had a lot of difficulty conceiving, and I thought to myself that I just couldn't imagine what that would be like.  I felt sorry for their situation, but I didn't really understand it.  When we had Timothy, there were some issues with the pregnancy itself and we had a lot of difficulty for the first year or so.  Even despite this, I still wanted to have another.  It took dh a little bit longer to consider another child, but the beginning of last year, we talked about it again and decided that we would be really ok with having another.  I look around me at friends and family that say you just know when you are done having kids, when your family is complete.  And I think to myself "I don't feel that at all!"  I REALLY want another one...or two.  It has been over a year now of "just letting things happen" which worked like a charm the first 2 times.  But my body has changed since then, with hormone level problems and such.  I am now 31 (I realize far from ancient, but nearing the age when things become much more difficult).  I too try to say "I am leaving it in God's hands, and I will be content with whatever happens" but there is still that empty spot in my heart.  I know that I should be content with my 2 precious babies.  Many people don't have that.  And I love them with all my heart!  But why is it selfish to want more than 2 children, just because it's difficult?  I look at my dear friend who recently celebrated the birth of baby number 4, and I rejoice for them.  But every time I hold her, there is that accute aching inside.  I joke about "getting my baby fix" with their precious one, but in all truth it just hurts worse.  Anyway, I'm sorry this got so long, and I am putting my faith and trust in God.  I know that in him are healing, and perfection, and his grace is sufficient for me.

I have been doing smoothies for breakfast the past several days.  One way to add a little extra healthy kick to your smoothies is to add in 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed to any smoothie.  It gives you a dose of the healthy Omega-3 fats that your body needs to function properly.  Also, I have added one packet of Emergen-C vitamin supplement for an added immune system and health boost.

When I first met Randy's parents, I absolutely LOVED them!  We got along so well, and I thought "This is going to be perfect!  It really will be like having a second set of parents."  My parents live about 2 hours away (not too far, but not close enough to just buzz over to visit any time) and my mom even said that she was so glad that I had MIL right here.  Moving to a VERY small town can be tough....everyone else knows each other and it can take a while to really start to feel like you fit in.  There really weren't any couples our age at church, and where do you go to meet other cool ladies to hang out with?  Also, from the time we got married until I was about 5 months pg with Timothy, we lived in a tiny little apartment.  So, to be able to go out to the farm (about 5 miles away) and hang out was a godsend!  I was always told that we were welcome to come out there anytime, that they loved having us there.  So, since the guys were there already, I would frequently pack up Emma and head out there where she had room to play.  I would help out with cooking, etc and bringing food out to the guys.  I tried to help out wherever I could so that it wouldn't seem like I was just being a leech.  I really enjoyed going out there and hanging out with MIL.  And I really, honestly thought that she really enjoyed it too.  I found out a couple years ago that she would frequently complain to other family about us being out there so much, which really hurt.  Then, 3 years ago, she moved out and filed for divorce, 3 months after Timothy was born and 2 weeks before Christmas (it was JUST finally settled 2 months ago!).  When I was on bedrest with Timothy, Randy called and asked if she could help out at all, with meals or taking care of Emma, etc.  She said no, she had to work extra hours.  But if one of my SILs had a cold, she would take off a week of work and drive 4 hours to help with their kids.  The thing that hurt the most is that in the divorce process, she was attacking Randy too, not just my FIL (Randy farms with his dad).  So, there is a LOT of hurt now between our family and her, and it is going to take a lot of time and healing.  I think probably the worst though is that she acts like everything is exactly the same as it was.  Sorry this is long and rambling, and if it doesn't seem to flow together....taking some meds that are making me feel kind of out of focus...

Ok ladies and gents...I've got my 80s page up.  I don't have any pics of me from the 80s on hand right now (I know Mom and Dad have them, but I don't have any right here) and I haven't changed up the music yet.  But this is kind of fun!  Like several others here, I entered the 80s as a toddler and left the 80s as a preteen, so it was a lot more about the cartoons and toys than the music and movies.  I LOVED My Little Pony (so does Emma!) and Cabbage Patch Kids (Emma has one plus mine, but isn't nearly as into that).  I was also pretty into Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake, but most of all, I DESPERATELY wanted to be Smurfette! Smile

For us, dh does the bills.  He does some online, but a lot with mailing in checks so far.  As for our shopping, I put pretty much everything on the discover card that we pay off every month.  It is a lot easier than writing out a bunch of checks.  Plus, Randy usually has the checkbook anyway.  Then we just write out one check for that instead of who knows how many checks throughout the month.  So far, it has been working beautifully.

I agree with what the others have said.  I completely agree that the school should notify parents ahead of time about this by sending home a note.  Also, if you do not feel comfortable having your daughter in class for that then you should keep her home to have a fun and relaxed talk about it.  I think that parents definitely have the right to decide whether or not to have their child participate in this type of education in school.  However, like others have said, there are a lot of parents who do not take any time to talk to their kids about this at all (and it can be a very scary thing if you don't have any information) and girls are starting earlier all the time.  So I guess I don't necessarily think that 4th grade is too early to talk about it, but parents should be informed and given the option.

That's awesome!  We have open enrollment here too, but we really like the school district here, so that hasn't been a problem.  But that is nice to have that option.

Congrats and enjoy! Smile
