The holidays force out emotions that for some reason the rest of the year we mostly keep bottled away.  Recognize those feelings, respect them, have a cry, and then focus on all the positive things in your life.  The wonderful husband, children, mother, friends. Be forever grateful for the memories that you have and the memories that you will make this year.  Never forget how precious life is!

Oh... my first car!  It was in 1995 and it was a plymouth duster.  It was in the 80s, it was not the muscle car body style.. It looked more like and older body mustang.  It was a funny car.  It did not cut off when I took the key out.  I would drive to school and the principal would come by 1st period to let me know my car was still running.  I totaled it that summer hitting a deer.  After that it was a 93 plymouth acclaim, then an 87 honda accord, 03 celica, 02 altima, and now an 05 town and country.  Ahhhh... the only one i miss is the celica!  One day, I'll have another!

The past few weeks have been tough at our house with sleeping.  our son, whom I broke the cosleeping thing with now goes to sleep great in his crib.  I have a schedule that I have been good about sticking to with putting hiim to bed between 7:30-8 each night.  But between 12-2 am he wakes up screaming. Not every night but 75% of the time.  I have tried going in calming him, then leaving, i've tried to let him cry it out but he has napped and has energy so last night it got to 2 hours and I gave in and got him and took him to our guest room where we slept the rest of the night.  I want to do what I can to get him to sleep the rest of the night by himself but being in my first trimester with our second baby, i am tired and want to sleep at night some too.  Should I take a few days and just let him scream it out?  Should i comfort him?  It's a cry that seems almost that he wakes up scared.  Any ideas???

I have not gotten to that stage with our son yet, but I know growing up that was the one word we were not allowed to say.  I think I would have gotten in more trouble saying Hate than if I had cursed.  We were allowed to dislike someone or their actions but never hate.  I don't remember how my mom explained to us not to use it but I do remember it was repetition.  I must have used it quite a bit because I remember the lecture was given a lot!

Well, we had a class at school "family life" i think it was called.  I learned some from classmates I think.  I don't remember my mom sittime me down but she may have.  I do remember she had a set of 4 books that I looked at a lot when i wanted to understand something better.

I don't normally give a gift card unless it is on the person's list.  When I don't know what to get someone and go the gift card route, I normally do a gift card to the entire mall as opposed to just one store or to Amazon.com.  That way they have flexibility in the item they get.

Each year on December 7th for the last 6 years, it is the saddest day of the year.  See,  on this day 6 years ago, my best friend and neighbor not only killed herself but 4 other people in a drinking and driving accedent.  Her and I had always gone out (dancing, partying) together responsibly BUT on this night I had taken my then boyfriend home to meet my parents and she went out with another girl that none of her "regular" friends liked.  Well that girl left her downtown high and dry and my best friend got behind the wheel and tried to drive home.  Well she got on the interstate 95 going south in the northbound lanes and hit someone head on.  She killed that man and his son instantly.  Then two nurses in seperate cars that had just gotten off of graveyard shift at the hospital pulled over to help and while they were walking up to the car they got hit by a transfer truck.  What a horrible tragedy... So now.. I am not the lecturer on a daily basis but when I do here someone complaining that they or someone they knew got stopped and got a dui or whatever....I thank god.  There are a lot worse things than not having your license for a few months.  The worse time of my life was checking her phone messages the day after, or picking out her clothes for her funeral, or helping her mom to clean her appartment out.  So please, during the holidays, be safe, and give lots of hugs and kisses.

As a child I think I brought in anything that I could catch.  And my mom let me keep it until it died!  I had dogs and cats, i had fish, a lizard once, a couple snakes....(the lizard ate the snake), and hermit crabs.

Now I have 2 cats and i can't wait til the time comes for me to get a dog again!  Gabriel is too young to have an opinion but I know he wants a dog....hehehehe!  I am trying to convince my husband!
