I think that in many ways things get easier with each generation because of the developments in society, but in other ways it has gotten so much harder and more dangerous. The deseases, cancer, aids, will they have cures by then or will they become more widespread. Violence? Will they have a hold on it or will you have to be scared to leave your home. It petrifys me!!

An ongoing grocery list and a lists of things I have to get at Target, etc and things I need to do that week/day. Then i have a daily planner where i track appts, lunch dates, play dates, etc. Then my husband has a cell phone that does everything but cut our grass so he keeps a very detailed calendar of his days and our family appts too. We check and double check constantly to make sure we have everything down.

Mom2Gabe&JoshJoined: 7/02/07 Posts: 709 | Posted: 1 years ago As a kid and teenager I wanted to be on the LPGA. I was huge into golf as a kid and played all the time. Of course now, I think it's been 3 years since I put my hands on a club! Maybe I'll be able to be on the SENIOR TOUR!!!! Gabriel is too young to voice his dreams right now. I think though he may want to grow up to be an opera singer or rock star because he has a good set of lungs. Instead of crying I think he is just practicing!!! Mom2Gabe&JoshJoined: 7/02/07 Posts: 709 | Posted: 1 years ago Mondays are not a huge deal here. I get a little sad because my hubby goes back to work and I am alone again. We enjoy our weekends so much that we start looking forward to them again on Monday morning!

Mom2Gabe&JoshJoined: 7/02/07 Posts: 709 | Posted: 1 years ago I worked until I went until the day I went into the hospital to have Gabriel. I did not put in my notice until 6 weeks into my maternity leave. I just was unsure about what I wanted. I am glad i made that choice to stay home. It is tough when I crave the interaction with adults but I try to get out of the house for lunches wiht Gabriel and friends and on the weekend alone just to keep my sanity. Before children, I never understood the presumptions of stay at home moms versus working outside of the home moms. Now, I can say (in my opinion) that there are parts of both that are easier and harder than the other. The working mom has to get the same amount of housework done, the same amount of meals made, etc, etc, However they get a opportunity to work with adults and have adult conversation. The stay at home mom, gets the chance to be at home with the children and still do the housework, meals, errands, etc, however there are few opportunites to get out and really excersise your adult individual self. Whatever your family decides is best for your family then that is what is best. I got a lot of unsolicited advise when I made my decision and it made my second guess our familys situation. I made the decision that was best for us and there are no regrets with that decision.

Mom2Gabe&JoshJoined: 7/02/07 Posts: 709 | Posted: 1 years ago I agree with Rach. Teens are going to experiment to some degree and I will encourage abstanece and also the importance of waiting until you love that person, but reality is they don't. Teens are influenced by the environment including school, friends, tv, family, etc. I hope that in our case family will be the largest influence but i'd like to beat them to the punch and if they are going to give in to the pressure I want them to be educated and prepared for the consequences. I don't plan on hiding information from my kids. I want them to know about pregnancy, std's, emotional pain, and everything involved with becoming physical with someone.

Mom2Gabe&JoshJoined: 7/02/07 Posts: 709 | Posted: 1 years ago Well, I have one brother and my hubby has one sister so we both had two children families. Anthony and I have always wanted to same, two children. We were very fortunate to get pregnant the first month we were trying with Gabriel. And as of yesterday we found out we are pregnant with our second! We will most likely be stopping after this one!

Mom2Gabe&JoshJoined: 7/02/07 Posts: 709 | Posted: 1 years ago I am a pick up as I go sort of lady. I make my list before Thanksgiving and through the weeks of being out at whatever stores, I pick things up that I've decided on. I could never be a christmas eve shopper or I would be a nervous wreck!!! I like to have everything wrapped and under the tree a week before christmas....

Mom2Gabe&JoshJoined: 7/02/07 Posts: 709 | Posted: 1 years ago It is amazing at how many recalls there have been lately. I try to think that we are uncovering more things now than we used to and are more aware. Who knows, maybe things have always been this way but we just did not know. I doubt it has been this bad but maybe to some extent.... But has anyone tried to avoid buying products from China? It's near impossible!!! The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.

Mom2Gabe&JoshJoined: 7/02/07 Posts: 709 | Posted: 1 years ago I am not a hunter and neither is my hubby, but I grew up in a town where the rifles and shotguns were brought to school after an early morning hunt with the deer in the back of the trucks to be shown off after school. I had friends both boy and girls who were hunting before they could spell it. I don't think it is an issue as long as they are taught the safety and rules of the particular game and area being hunted in. I can see though the tough decision. That is your BABY and a incrediably tough decision to make. Best of luck to you and your family to make a decision!

Mom2Gabe&JoshJoined: 7/02/07 Posts: 709 | Posted: 1 years ago As a new mother, I have realized there is no other love like the love shared between a mother and a child. What this mother has gone thru is a mother's worst nightmare. I can almost bet that the last thing she wanted to do when these pictures were taken was to let go, and although most will deem those photos as inappropriate for public viewing, it's here way of holding on to the most precious thing ever. She's healing andshe may have some of these pics in frames. But if you think about it, I have pictures of my deceased grandmother, my deceased best friend, etc. It's her way of remembering. Just my thoughts....I do agree that the pictures are upsetting and Very very touching and emotional.
