I have a doula coming over tonight!  She came last night.  I've hired her this week to do acupressure massages so that I have a good chance in going into labor on my own and avoidinga  c section.  Last night went well.   I have been contracting all night and day so ho[efully the baby is moving on down and when I go to the dr tomorrow I will have dilated a little!  Other than this though I am unfamiliar.  She said last night thoguh the market for doulas are not as much now because Husbands are much more involved in the births of children as opposed to years ago when fathers did not go in the delivery rooms.

Gotta love your stretch marks!  They are mommy marks and you should be proud of everyone of em!  There are tons of women who want mommy marks and can't have em.  So don't be ashamed to have them sneak out of the shirt or bathing suit at all!

We went to the beach a lot as kids, but I do remember going to Disney world in 5th grade, then we went to Canada when i was pretty small, and to the mountains and stayed in a cabin a few years too.  All were fun.  My family was always on the go.  We spent tons of time at the lake, going weekend trips constantly so I always enjoyed traveling.  we had a ton of fun.

If i had to do it again, i would never register for recieving blankets or designer burp clothes, a diaper genie, bottle warmer, or sterilizer, and I could go on.

Receiving blankets - too small, the ones at the hospital are so much better, stuff one in your bag each night and you will be good to go.  You pay for them

Burp clothes - Cloth diapers a more absorbant... face it... they are made to be absorbant.

Diaper genie - yuck yuck yuck

bottle warmer - never used it.  gabriel drank his formula at room temp and was perfectly fine

sterilizer - that is what a dishwasher is and as soon as someone touches the bottle, sterlization is over..

Can't live without..... a good rocker/glider, boppie pillow, distracting toy, MYLICON!!!!!!i

I live a few states away from where i grew up.  When my mom was prego with me my family moved into the house I was raised in.  Stayed there until I was 18 and went off to college.  Then only stayed the summers until I completely moved into an apartment on my own my junior year in school I love to go back to visit but I would never want to live in my hometown again... nothing to do there, job, fun, anything... nothing to do..

Happy Birthday Keri!

Our 4th was pretty good.  My hubby's family came over at noon and I grilled all the goodies.  They stayed until 6 or so then we just relaxed until fireworks started.  we can see them from both our front or back porch so we enjoyed them a little until Gabriel was ready to crash.  Took him up then we both crashed in our respective recliners!!!!  4 days from having another baby so i was not expecting too much partying going on at our house!  Today I went for my prenatal Pedi and mani and am soooo disappointed in it, I talked my hubby into letting me waste 50 bucks and going to get another one this afternoon!  I don't throw money away ever so this is a huge treat for me.  two mani's and pedi's in one day.  What a wasteful thing!  BUT..... i'm having a c-section and I can't have ugly nails in surgery!!!!  hehehehe

When it's not reruns I can't live without Grey's Anatomy, Lost, or Private Practice.  But this time of year we watch a lot of Discovery, animal planet, etc.

Tomorrow at 1 o'clock I am scheduled for my c-section to have our second baby!  I am so excited to meet the newest member of our family since we don't know whether it is a boy or girl it's even more exciting!  Although this will be my second c-section, the first one was not planned and I went thru labor first, I am a little nervous about it this time.  It's something about knowing it.  I have a little anxiety but more excited than anything.  I can't wait to post pictures in the next week or so!!!

So everyone have a good week and I'll talk to you soon!

Sallie

We welcomed our second son Joshua Anthony to the world Tuesday at 1:55.  He weighed in at a whoppin 9lbs 1 oz and 20.5 inches long!  He's a perfectly happy and healthy boy and I am recovering really great from my repeat c section!

I did get some dissappointing news however.  My hubby and I will not be able to have any other children in the future.  I have a window in my uterus that makes it very risky ad nearly impossible to carry a baby to term and also deliver it successfully.  With a window if I should contraact or the baby should move and break the window my uterus would rupture which would cause me to have a emergency c section.  Because of scar tissue in my abdomen, they would not be able to save the baby during the procedure. So..... it's been very much an emotional roller coaster here this week.  I know some of you were aware that I was attempting to have a VBAC and had done everything possible to start contractions before my scheduled c section.  The lord looked afer both me and Joshua and all my efforts did not work.

None the less, we have two beautiful boys and as time goes on we may consider adoption if we decide we want more children to love!

Our pc is turned on about 7:30 every morning and gets turned off around 10 every night.  It sits on our coffee table in front of the recliner so if I am sitting here, I'm usually researching, writting, emailing, or MT'ing!!!
