THe 30's but for a different reason.  My grandparents were dating.  They both passed away this year and were married for 70+ years.  I would love to have known them when they were dating and just discovering their love.  They are my heroes when it comes to parenting and being the best gradparents and maybe I could learn a few things from them back then!

I guess I had high hopes for my MIL since my mom and and her MIL (my grandmother) were more like mother and daughter than in laws, but for me not so much.  I would much rather go to the OB/GYN and the dentist than go visit her or have her come here.  She is Italian lady who came over in the 60's and wears the pants of not just her and her husbad but the ENTIRE family.  She always has an opinion and never listens to my directions with my son.  A few months ago, She came into my hubby and I's bedroom and took our comforter off and preceeded to tell me I make my bed wrong.  Just out of the blue... I was like "WTF!" It's always something going on.  When we were dating she claimed that I would lure him in, get married, take his money, and take the baby and money back to Virginia.  HELLO...If I needed a sperm donor I would have handled it closer to home rather than 3 states away!

Ok.. I am done.  I could go on for days.  I went on a tangent... I hope I answered the ?  hehehe

I agree, try not to worry too much until you get confirmation.  But, if you do, I know it will be tough but it will also be manageable.  I got pregnant (intentially) with our second with Gabriel was only 6 months old. And even though he was still a little baby then, he's now 11 months old and a ton more independent, ie, feeding himself, crawling, playing independently, does not want to be held a lot.  So mine will be 15 months apart and I surely realize it will be tough but we will be ok.  Just think about the great things like how close the babies will be and if they are the same sex how cool it will be and if they are not, still they will likely be really close growing up!  You get diapers and baby pains out of the way in a shorter period of time!  There really are some benefits too!  Good luck and I hope things work out best for your family!

Being a Southern girl (now in pa) it's sweet tea all the way.  And it can't be bought in a gallon container.  Must be made with real sugar.  YUMMMMMMM. Now that I am prego, I don't make it anymore but McDonalds here has something that at least satisfies the cravings.  But I can't live without it.  I swing by at least 3 times a week for a tea ad Yogurt parfait!  Perfect days!

CONGRAT!!!  A boy!  They are so much fun!  I keep getting asked which I would rather have this time and I just don't know.  A girl would be great but I have a boy and he is just amazing!!!  Have fun with the name discussions.

We were the Central Chargers!!!  WOOOHOOO!!... In high school, in such a small area it was like Friday Night LIghts there!  Football was huge, we had basketball, baseball, softball, track, cross country, volleyball, and golf. ( I played volleyball and golf, yes, I am a 5'4" girl and I played both Volleyball and golf!)  I loved my highschool and had a blast!

I say educate as well.  If she is asking about it then it seems she is hearing about it and you never know what she is hearing at school thru other kids!  My mom talked to me as well as gave me a set of little books to read alone when I had questions that maybe i was ucomfortable asking her.  I plan on doing the same. But i do think it should be offered in school to correct the kids that have never been tought at home or got confused along the way as well as suppliment what we as parents tell.  Using maybe terminology that parents don't know.  etc etc.

I would have to say homemade chicken and dumplings from my grandmother.  She made the best!!!  I'll never forget them.  I can make them pretty good but it's nothing like hers was.  YUMMMMYY!

Once I have this baby we will be setting up 529's for both kiddos.  We do have Gabriel a savings account and sad to say but he has more money in his than I have in mine that it is my own name!!  Some of that money will be transfered into the 529 once it is set up.  Grandparents have been making deposits for college that need to be transfered one it is set up.

We invest the max in a 401K.... We do this because we would rather do without a little now since we can't predict the future and if possible we will have a wonderful retirement but if issues arise we have $ for that as well.  I have investments from before I quit working that I just let sit there year after year. We are also meeting with a financial specialist this summer to get other options open or if we should change any of our current investments to something more profitable.  No one will llook after our future but us.....
