I am exhausted now... so maybe i'll be in bed by dinner... hehehehe. My inlaws are over and my hubby will take them home in a few hours so then we will have time together alone!

Mom2Gabe&JoshJoined: 7/02/07 Posts: 709 | Posted: 11 months ago New Years eve we don't really have traditions per say... just usually out with friends/family, except for this year as I am prego and we have an 8 month old. On New years day in the south where I grew up, Black Eyed Peas and Stewed tomatoes were something that was in every house! Up north in PA where I am at now with my hubby, it's the pork and sourcrout. In my 28 years I've never eaten the peas or the pork and crout and I think i've been pretty blessed! However, I am not going to knock the traditions that everyone has! I enjoy them even though I don't participate!

Then I'd swing by and pick up hubby to go out to a romantic dinner at our favorite restaraunt. Then i'd ask for an extra two hours for a movie!!! The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.

I do have to give credit to my brother who makes crazy resolutions like "no potatoe chips" "no soda" "no french fries" "no fried foods at all" all in different years, however, he kept them all. It was amazing how much you have to watch. Pretty much every sandwich servedcomes with a side of chips or fries and he would just eat the sandwich and leave it alone. It was amazing. But then again he's got great self control!

I don't watch a lot of tv so when i do watch i want to be absorbed into it and not think about anything... so my silly secret shows that I can do that are things like The nanny, or golden girls. hehehehe I love em!

Now I look at a candy bar and I gain 5 lbs so I won't keep it in the house but when I have to have it, I go for the good stuff. Dark chocolate is m y favorite and i will go to the godiva store(we have a factory here), or lindt, or something like that and buy something that I can have it all in one sitting and be done with it. It does not come home to sit on the counter for me to finish later or anything!

Some of the venues we saw were, white snake, cher, elton john, barenaked ladies, john mayer, dave matthews band, stevie nix, green day, hootie in the blow fish, matchbox 20, fleetwood mac, stix, def lepard, the motley crue, foreigner, rat, cinderella. A lot of the old bands were concerts that my hubby liked not me but they were fun anyway. We have not been to any in a year and a half. The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.
