We do Thanksgiving in VA with My family and Christmas is here with his family.  It was hard at first since we both have strong family ties but there has to be compromise both ways.  Eventually I think my family may be able to come up here for Christmas too.  I look forward to those days.

When I am there... i do gamble but when I am home, i don't play the lottery but maybe once a year.  No bingo, no sports, nada... So all in all, maybe 100 bucks a year.  I dn't think that's so bad.

My hubby and I went to Dominican Republic and stayed at the Secrets Excellance Resort!  It was awesome!!  Although the carribean in June is insanely hot and infested with bugs!  We did have a great week of swimming with sharks and exploring the wilderness.  It was great and I would love to go back!

Ok.... so here is the delimma..  As many of you know, I am due to have our second child in July, when our first will only be 15 months old. My question is should I buy the new baby a crib, changing table, etc. Or should I pass down our son's things (would work for boy or girl) and get our son a big boy bedroom set?  When did you guys move your children out of a crib and how did it work?  Did you put up railings?  Was the bed close to the floor?

I was reading and thouht I would update my post to answer a few of the questions.  It is a convertable crib and we also bought the dressers and burough to match so we'd like to keep that set together.  he is only 8 1/2 months now and sleeps well in his crib and does not try to crawl out etc.

Thanks everyone for their thoughts.  I'm struggling with the decision because I'd like to avoid buying another crib if I have to but I also want to put the baby right into their own room. ( i'm not a cosleeper or do I like to keep the baby in the room with me and my hubby. I think they do best when they get used to one sleeping arrangement and stick with it, but that is just our families thoughts....)

I would also love to see the skipper livin in the white house!!!

I m neither republican or democrat, but for this election so far, from my research, debates, etc,  I will be voting republican. HOWEVER, if obama and clinton were the only two candidates out there and I had to vote or be exciled, I would likely vote for clinton.  Purely based on the fact that Her hubby was not half bad, besides his personal love scandels, and at some point, his views have to have rubbed off on her or at least maybe he could help her out behind the scenes.  But like I said....i reality... i will vote for neither...

When i was not prego I sat on the back porch and had a smoke and chatted, but now that I am prego I go in our formal living room and sit in he quiet.  I take advantage of the time and don't clean or do anything.. It's my time!
