MaryJoined: 8/23/06 Posts: 612 | Posted: 4 yearss ago How annoying it is to be overdue... i'm overdue by three days i was due on the 20th and my little girl seems to have no intention of coming out. we were half effaced but not a bit dialated at the last appointment.
Its so annoying being overdue and wanting to see my precious little baby but i cant yet. Also i have Toxemia so i have to lay down all day and i'm not allowed to get up that much. I've done so many wordsearches and read so many books that i'm about to go insane without this little kid getting here and fast!! Its getting to me so bad that this morning one of my nails flaked off (they've never been long untill i got pregnant, i couldnt grow them) and i almost started to break down and cry!!
So is anyone else in this situation?
thanks for listening to my rant...

MaryJoined: 8/23/06 Posts: 612 | Posted: 4 yearss ago I dont have a child of that age but am not far from that age myself being 19 so my advice is to not do the traditional sit down and have a conversation about it but to let it leak into your everyday talk about things and just slightly influence that way that way your child will be more willing to listen to what you have to say because they dont feel like they are being lectured but instead feel that tehy are just haveing a conversation with their parents. I would recommend bringing it up really early!! like maybe around 10 or eleven years old when you still have a good relationship with them and because they will become exposed to the drugs and stuff that early on in life.

MaryJoined: 8/23/06 Posts: 612 | Posted: 4 yearss ago oddly enough its been scientifically proven that women are more likely to get pregnant in the fall and winter when it starts to get chilly outside because a man's testosterone levels skyrocket

MaryJoined: 8/23/06 Posts: 612 | Posted: 4 yearss ago If your trying to grow her hair then i wouldnt do that... and i think as long as you arent putting them too tight on her head then thats fine. and as long as you watch her while her hair is up to make sure she doesnt pull the hair tie out and put it in her mouth... that would be bad...

MaryJoined: 8/23/06 Posts: 612 | Posted: 4 yearss ago i think one of the things melissa said is really important. She said "someone who won't necessarily judge you" which is very important if your parents judge you then you tend to doubt them and talk less to them so ultimately its important to never judge what your kids do like the whole "thats a stupid idea" line isnt good lol
