That sounds miserable. I hope everyone is on the mend. Tummy bugs are the worst!

I am definitely an aisle person. I am not very good at sitting still (especially when I'm anxious, which I am when I'm on an airplane), so being in the window seat makes me totally claustrophobic, not to mention the people that I have to climb over totally miserable.

You're not a bad mom-it can get so crazy sometimes! It's so hard with three, especially when you have two little ones. Mine are 3, 2, and 8 months old, so I TOTALLY know where you're at!

About breastfeeding the little guy, I know it can be so hard when you have people tugging you in all different directions...I don't know how you feel about TV at times like these :-)  When I first brought the babe home, I would put the TV on for my girls whenever they started to act up while I was nursing the little guy and turned it off as soon as I was done. I think it was probably a LOT of TV at first, but they managed and it allowed me to establish a strong pattern with the baby. And now, several months later it's so much easier, because the baby can wait AND the girls are used to the fact that I have to nurse him and they may have to wait for a while (I think it's a good lesson in patience, but it definitely comes at a cost to my sanity).

Good luck! You are a wondeful mommy for being so concerned. I'm sure it will settle out, it always does (or at least I keep telling myself that).

Best wishes.

They gave us a bag of jelly beans with that prayer attached at MOPS this past Tuesday before Easter. It was a great thing to bring to my kids!

That can be such a tough situation. I can't even imagine what you can do, but I totally understand about wanting your kids to get the interaction. My neighborhood is the same way, after dinner all the kids come out, but we're fortunate because so do all the parents.

I would feel obligated too, so I understand not just walking away, but you are so NOT obligated. Maybe when you catch the parents you could just tell them that you're not comfortable having children in the yard without their parents, that you love that everyone plays together, but that it gets overwhelming for you.

I hope you're able to find a balance where you feel comfortable in your own yard, but you don't feel responsible for someone else's kids.

I'm so unbelievably ready for Spring too - this Colorado winter has kicked my butt. I miss my home....it's supposed to snow today here and that just makes me want to cry! We haven't seen 80 since last August, and even then it would be 40 at night.

I miss stepping outside at night into stifling heat. Here, houses don't even have ACs because we simply don't need them.

Sorry about the whining, but 80 makes me miss the East Coast.

My favorite place for dresses is J. Crew, or you have to order it but Boden has really pretty stuff. I live in the middle of nowhere and the nearest real mall is 4 hours away, so I do all my shopping online!

It's funny for me to think that you'll just be able to walk into a store, TRY SOMETHING ON and buy it. I'm jealous!

Good luck!

I'm sorry you're experiencing this, but I TOTALLY get it. We moved into our dream home last June and while we love our home (and our neighbors) everyone here has dogs and just lets them roam all over the place. As the snow melted this year there were two poops on my back porch and (yes I counted them) 40 poops in my front yard. We don't even have a dog!!!

I could scream! I'm sorry you're dealing with this. We love all our neighbors so we don't want to be mean, but it drives me nuts!

Good luck!

What we always do, of course the booger sucker with saline, but then before bed time take your baby in the shower with you. It's like a super humidifier and it really seems to help us!

Good luck!

I don't know where my kids get their appetite from, they're 9 mos, 2 and 3 and they will NOT let me get a bite of food for myself. We do go through this everyday.

When my oldest was in daycare she was just walking and still in the baby room where they kept the 0-1 yr olds. I would feed her breakfast before going in. The ladies asked that I stop feeding her breakfast at home because she would come in and then take all the food right off the plates of the other babies that received breakfast at day care. My oldest was born a scavenger!

I usually give a bite or two and them send them on their way. They do keep bothering me, of course so I usually scarf down whatever I have left and then show them empty hands....probably not the best lesson, but at least I get some food that way!

My husband travels once or twice quarterly, so it's not often enough that I spend a lot of time missing him, but just enough to ENJOY the fact that he'll leave for a few days at a time, periodically.

Getting the kids in bed all by myself can be scramble, but after that I TRULY get to appreciate some alone time, usually in the form of a chick flick, or a TV show that I'd get picked at for watching (like The Bachelor, or the Hills).

His travel schedule works perfect for our family. My husband's likes to be in bed early (he'd be in bed by 8pm if left to his own devices) and I'm a night owl, so it also gives him a couple days in a hotel to sleep more and recharge.

Congratulations! That's fantastic!

I have cousins that are triplets, and I know there has a been a lot of joy, but also some challenges for my aunt and her husband. I will ask her, because I know there are a gazillion resources for parents of triplets.

That's really wonderful! I hope all is well!

The more we learn about vaccines the more nervous I become, I know no one has drawn any definitive conclusions though.

As far as the chicken pox/shingles thing, my oldest had a reaction to the chicken pox vaccine as a mild form of the shingles.

It is true though that shingles is the same virus as chicken pox. Once you've had the chicken pox it stays with you forever (thus your immunity to the illness). Shingles is the reactivated form. Whether you got chicken pox from another person, or you were vaccinated against it, you will be at risk for shingles.
