I'm new here, but I saw your header, "What is torticollis". My 3 year old was diagnosed at 6 mos. old and we've really struggled with it. Is that your son in the picture? Are things going well for you all? It can be really frustrating, can't it? PT did not resolve all my daughter's issues and here within the past year we began seeing an osteopath who specializes in cranio-saccral manipulations and we have been BLOWN AWAY at the improvement. I'm generally not that into alternative medicine or treatments, but on the advice of our pediatrician we saw this guy and Sophie's toticollis is nearly undetectable.

Just thought I'd share. I've never actually come in contact with any one else who has dealt with this issue. Thanks for the info. I hope all is going well.

Hi there! My name is Katie. I am a stay at home mother of 2, and we're expecting a 3rd in July. I live in SW Colorado, which is a huge change for me because I've spent most of my life near the ocean. We are adjusting to the mountains though. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Your current pregnancy sounds like both of the pregancies I had with my girls. Almost to the letter...

I am now pregnant for the 3rd time and have had SUCH a different pregnancy-I've never been so ill in my life.

Everyone kepy saying, "It's a boy this time..."

We found out last week that it's a BOY!

I haven't posted much on this website because I don't usually EVER sit down. I have a 3 year old and a 1.5 year old and most days we go, go, go. I am 30 weeks pregnant and have been ordered onto bed rest. My husband's family and my family have been SO unbelievably helpful, coming to stay with us until I'm 37 weeks, so I am truly ABLE to rest, but I think I am going to lose my mind. It's only been one week and I've got 7 more to go...AAAHHHH!!!! I miss being outside with my girls and playdates at the park and swimming, etc, etc...

My friends have been great about bringing kiddos here to play, but as the weather gets nicer and nicer, I think I will be stuck inside solo more.

Sorry for whining, I know things could be much worse...the baby could be here now...I could be in dire need with no help whatsoever...I am EXTREMELY grateful for how much everyone has rallied for me and my family...but do any of you have suggestions for me not to lose my mind??

Any ideas would be much appreciated...and reading them would give me something to do for a while :-)

I love Taco Bell, especially when I'm pregnant! I try to avoid it though because I know it' can't be good for me.

Thanks for all the ideas and supportive words. I am figuring out stuff to do. I have gone through pics on my computer, caught up on phone calls, played on the floor with my girls with ponies, little people, etc. more than I have in a long time and I feel like I'm getting into a groove. I think this may be a blessing in disguise! Thanks again.

My parents both had 4 brothers and sisters each. I was an only child. When we would travel to family holidays I loved the chaos and excitement of all their brothers and sisters and their wives and husbands and kids, etc. Just a big noisy family (which I never had)...

So I always thought I wanted 5-but now pregnant with #3 I think this will be our last. We have two girls already and we have a little boy on the way. 3 is a good number!

I think it's a good thing she's leaving. While I respect that she has strong opinions, I always thought the point of the View was to provide different VIEWpoints, not just one person's ideas.

I am currently pregnant with my 3rd. My oldest just turned 3, my current baby just turned 18 months (they're 18 mos. apart) and if I go full term my baby will be 20 mos. younger. My oldest did understand what was going on to some extent, my current baby has NO clue (or so I think), like Michi she was 4 weeks early and not quite in the same place as her older sister.

While it definitely is an upheaval for a while when they're SO little, my girls ALREADY love each other so much because they have NO inkling of a time without the other one. My oldest was too little to remember her life before her sister. It's even gotten to the point that after the baby has been napping for a long time, my oldest tells me she wants to go get her so the baby can play too.

I know people think we're nuts to have had our three so close, but so far it has really worked out beautifully. I can't speak for three yet, but the age difference between our first and second has NEVER been a problem...talk to me though when it's time for 3 of them to be in college :-)

I think your heart will tell you what to do. Good luck!

Our ped recommended we use cetaphil soap on my daughter's skin. We were using California Baby for hair and skin, but now we just use it as shampoo. Sometimes I think it helps, other times not so much-but that's how I've felt about ALL the things we've used, except for prescription ointment. I'm so curious about the food relation though, like what sorts of things trigger it because everything here is scent-free/natural and it still flares up. I noticed someone said acidic foods...has anyone noticed anything else?

What really gets my blood boiling is when my hubby and i make plans with our friends to go some where and my hubby decides at the last min. that he doesn't want to go. that just ticks me off.

Is this a universal thing?? This drive me crazy too.

As far as kids go, mine are just little so I don't get mad, but they congregate in doorways and it just blows my mind that both of my girls will hang out IN the smallest doorway they can find and just look at you like you're crazy when you ask them to move so you can get through and they resist when you urge them along.
