EstellaJoined: 1/30/07 Posts: 346 | Posted: 9 months ago Ok, guilt time. I once sat in a hot tub for 4 hours when I was pregnant but didn't know it. I worried through the whole pregnancy that I had gotten overheated and damaged the babies.

EstellaJoined: 1/30/07 Posts: 346 | Posted: 9 months ago I confess I'm glad my favorite thread is back! I resent that I have 3 evening events I must attend for my husband's job this week. It's like a second job for me. I have to get dressed up and be "on" for hours. These events are getting more and more frequent. I barely have any time for myself anymore. Estella | |

EstellaJoined: 1/30/07 Posts: 346 | Posted: 9 months ago I expect more out of my kids than my parents expected of me. I rarely had to clean or do chores, and I don't think that was a good thing. Mom was a SAHM, and she considered it her job. I think we could have helped a lot more around the house. My kids were making their beds and lunches by the time they were in kindergarten. They were responsible for cleaning, doing yard work, helping in the kitchen, doing laundry, etc. They are very capable boys.

EstellaJoined: 1/30/07 Posts: 346 | Posted: 9 months ago I really feel sorry for the bus drivers. No one should have to tolerate this horrible behavior. It is not only rude, it is unsafe. I think there should be a school employee on the bus for discipline so the bus driver can concentrate on driving . Kids who misbehave should lose their privilege after one warning. Maybe the time for school buses has passed. They are unsafe, they don't have seatbelts, they are basically archaic. I have often wondered why schools have a hard time finding bus drivers. Now I understand. Parents need to watch the videotapes of their kids on the bus. In fact, maybe they should ride along sometime. It would be a real eye-opener.

EstellaJoined: 1/30/07 Posts: 346 | Posted: 9 months ago For the first time in my life , I didn't get to see all the Academy Awards. It's like the Superbowl for me, and I'm grumpy that I missed the good stuff. If you want to know why, read my confessional post. Grrrrr..... I was surprised at a lot of the winners. The whole event seemed really subdued. It even ended ten minutes early. Unheard of! I thought the glamour and excitement were missing overall. It seemed pretty passionless. The Coen Brothers looked almost bummed that they won three times. What did everyone else think? Fill me in on the first half's highlights, please. I didn't tape it. Estella | |
