antygamma Joined: 1/11/07 Posts: 3827	Title: Teaching kids about strangers Posted: 1 years ago I gotta go w teaching instincts and still teach things to beware of because so many abductions happen with seemingly innocent things to get to the childs trusting heart And WAY to often its not even the Stranger who hurts the kids, but someone in a valued respected position.... So sad and also sooo extremely difficult to find and draw and draw the lines good touches bad touches friend or foe be respectful or bolt sigh Its Hard to be a kid nowadays all the way around But Also, when we do get the right blend of friendly yet wary blessedly most of our kids still safe and well rounded so I say kudos to all parents struggling to find the balance w each individual ersonal;ity type your kids are in growing them to be the best they can be w kindness, love and respect one for another and helpful, sweet they are Instincts indeed best judge tho as kids and animals instinctively catch things in people we miss good and bad Phil 4:8 think on those things that are true,honest,just,pure,lovely and of good report,if there be any virtue any praise, think on these things prov.22:7 for as we think in our hearts ,so are we.... Here goes 2 cans 101/4 oz condensed tomatoe soup 3 eggs 2 pkgs14 oz bouts gingerbread mix 1 cup o raisons 1 cup chopped walnuts blend soup eggs in large mixing bow,add gingerbread mix blend at low speed till totally moistened...then 2 mins at medium speed.... fold in raisons and nuts pour into well greased or baking pam coted 10 inch tube pan bake at 325 F about an hour 15 mins or till done cool right side up in pan 10 mins remove serve warm or cold sprinkle w confectioners sugar Phil 4:8 think on those things that are true,honest,just,pure,lovely and of good report,if there be any virtue any praise, think on these things prov.22:7 for as we think in our hearts ,so are we.... antygamma Joined: 1/11/07 Posts: 3827	Title: idea for plain old tomatoe soup Posted: 1 years ago TOMATO SOUP CAKE 2 1/4 c cake or 2 c all purpous flour 1 1/3 cup sugar 4 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking SODA 1 1/2 teasp allspice 1 teasp cinnamon or tad more if u love , 1/2 teasp cloves (GROUND), 1 can 10 3/4 oz condensed tomato soup 1/2 cup hydrogenated shortening( Id substitute w butter or margerine here for health ) 2 eggs Preheat oven to 350 F . Generously grease and flour 2 round 8 0r 9 inch round pans or an oblong 13 by 9 inch cake pan. Measure dry ingredients into bowl. Add soup and shortening. Beat at low to medium speed for 2 minutes (300 strokes with a spoon) scraping sides and bottom of bowl constantly. Add eggs and water. Beat 2 minutes more, scraping bowl frequently. Pour into pans. Bake 35 to 40 minutes. Let stand in pans 10 minutes; remove and cool on rack. Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting or favorite white frosting. Variations: For a 9-inch tube pan. Prepare as above; bake 1 hour. Nut or Raisin: after mixing, fold in 1 cup chopped nuts or 1 cup raisins. Bake 35 to 40 minutes. Date and Nut: After mixing, fold in 1 cup chopped walnuts and 1 cup chopped dates. (Use 1 to 2 tablespoons flour to sprinkle over dates while chopping them.) Bake in 9" layers or 13 x 9 x 2" pan for 40 to 45 minutes. cream cheese icing blend 2 3 oz softened cream cheese w 1 Tablespoon milk grdually add 1 lb confectioners sugar blending well mix in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and spread on warm cake Phil 4:8 think on those things that are true,honest,just,pure,lovely and of good report,if there be any virtue any praise, think on these things prov.22:7 for as we think in our hearts ,so are we.... antygamma Joined: 1/11/07 Posts: 3827	Title: idea for plain old tomatoe soup Posted: 1 years ago i gotta say the tomato soup cake is really good i made few times in my baking years and all loved it . now heres a recipe for Gazpacho also quite good 1 can tomato soup 1 cup oo water 1 Tblesp olive oil 2 Tablesp wine vinegar 1 large clove garlic, minced 1 cup finely chopped cucumber 1/2 cup green pepper 1/4 cup finely chopped onion in bowl,combine soup,water,oil,vinegar and garlic...chill 4 hrs serve in chilled bowls and use other veggies or croutons as garnishes very good for hot weather Phil 4:8 think on those things that are true,honest,just,pure,lovely and of good report,if there be any virtue any praise, think on these things prov.22:7 for as we think in our hearts ,so are we....
