antygamma Joined: 1/11/07 Posts: 3827	Title: Constipation please help Posted: 1 years ago OK I start w holding baby to my chest or lay them on a bed and bend little legs up to chest pull straight then bend up to chest again rolling legs gently yet firmly against tummy .. releases gas and relaxes bowels , then I try Karo Sryop w warm water, just a few drops to like 2 oz., Also infant prunes, and or pear juice.... all work well if really hard do the rectal to stimulate too. Its a common issue and resolvable in most cases Also theres a chiropratic trick I learned this last year, but check w your chiropractor first hold baby back to you by lil ankles w yopur thumbs bending feet slightly forward, and gently swing baby upside down forward and back . Sounds silly but OH MY gOsh does it work !!!! I was taught by a chiropractor w him watching on a baby, w parents knowledge and consent ... We SINCERILY appreciate your Valuable input here as SO many questions.... Now I have one for you , tho my kids are long grown and have 2 grandsons already now getting their vacs... When my Sammi was a baby we had a friend we met at hosp. whos daughter had a SEVERE Reaction to dpt series She had such bad seizures that though she was like almost 3 the brain was impaired and she near died... Her lil life was spent in hosp trying to stop seizing, and therapy to bring her back up to speed. ie learn to walk aain start to talk again... and momma so FURIOUS as would ANY of be that she was never warned this could happen from simple vaccines... I was SOOOO leery after that of the pertussin pt but decided the risk greater Not too give so I did Is this still a cause for concern? For that rare percentile of babies? I hafta say that there are SOOOO many areas in which we grow into to MAKE IT that its FUNNY !!! Theres as many stages to adult life as there are to infant child stages so I have to wonder if we ever TRULY Do Make It prior to the grave Things come together in love , marraige child rearing then BAM!!!! It all changes and we have to start again new rules new growth new learning!! The Kids grow up and BAM!!!! New rules New methods new all.... Then just when we BELIEVE weve Finally made it BAM !!!! Grands come and its all New and New rules etc hehheh Maybe by time Great grans come Ill have Made it You think in marraige you know each SOOO well Them BAM !!!! Midlife crisis!!! His and Hers New Rules New expectations Figure it out then Retirement approaches BAM !!!! New Rules New changes !! We Change At 30 at 40 at 50 Lol Our Expectations change and we have to keep rediscovering who we are what WE want etc.. and wonder will we ever make it? I felt like i made it when i married, then when I was able to travel, then when my kids graduated and left home ... I felt like I Made It when after 18 yrs in military we Finally got Hi. hehheh I I felt ESPECIALLY Like I MADE It when I Became a born again Christain , Then, when found hubby and I growing and praying at same wavelength while doing cbn ministry... I really felt like I made when I became a gramma and realized its all good even all the falls, our differences, the storms because some things remain constant thru out time love ... Gods love/His rules, our family the sun still shines the moon still glows Perhaps in retrospect We can Genuinely KNOW weve Made it when we realize ,accept and look forward to LIFES seasons and Changes!!!! Enjoy the AGONY hehheh Bathroom Humor for women Posted: 1 years ago When you have to visit a public bathroom, you usually find a line of women, so you smile politely and take your place. Once it's your turn, you check for feet under the stall doors. Every stall is occupied. Finally, a door opens and you dash in, nearly knocking down the woman leaving the stall. You get in to find the door won't latch. It does n't matter, the wait has been so long you are about to wet your pants! The dispenser for the modern "seat covers" (invented by someone's Mom, no doubt) is handy, but empty. You would hang your purse on the door hook, if there was one, but there isn't - so you carefully, but quickly drape it around your neck, (Mom would turn over in her grave if you put it on the FLOOR! ), yank down your pants, and assume "The Stance." In this position your aging, toneless thigh muscles begin to shake. You'd love to sit down, but you certainly hadn't taken time to wipe the seat or lay toilet paper on it, so you hold "The Stance." To take your mind off your trembling thighs, you reach for what you discover to be the empty toilet paper dispenser. In your mind, you can hear your mother's voice saying, "Honey, if you had tried to clean the seat, you would have KNOWN there was no toilet paper!" Your thighs shake more. You remember the tiny tissue that you blew your nose on yesterday - the one that's still in your purse. (Oh yeah, the purse around your neck, that now, you have to hold up trying not to strangle yourself at the same time). That would have to do. You crumple it in the puffiest way possible. It's still smaller than your thumbnail . Someone pushes your door open because the latch doesn't work. The doo r hits your purse, which is hanging around your neck in front of your chest, and you and your purse topple backward against the tank of the toilet. "Occupied!" you scream, as y ou reach for the door, dropping your precious, tiny, crumpled tissue in a puddle on the floor, lose your footing altogether, and slide down directly onto the TOILET SEAT. It is wet of course. You bolt up, knowing all too well that it's too late. Your bare bottom has made contact with every imaginable germ and life form on the uncovered seat because YOU never laid down toilet paper - not that there was any, even if you had taken time to t ry. You know that your mother would be utterly appalled if she knew, because, you're certain her bare bottom never touched a public toilet seat because, frankly, dear, "You just don't KNOW what kind of diseases you could get." By this time, the automatic sensor on the back of the toilet is so confused that it flushes, propelling a stream of water like a fire hose against the inside of the bowl that sprays a fine mist of water that covers your butt and runs down your legs and into your shoes. The flush somehow sucks everything down with such force that you grab onto the empty toilet paper dispenser for fear of being dragged in too. At this point, you give up. You're soaked by the spewing water and the wet toilet seat. You're exhausted. You try to wipe with a gum wrapper you found in your pocket and then slink out inconspicuously to the sinks. You can't figure out how to operate the faucets wi th the automatic sensors, so you wipe your hands with spit and a dry paper towel and walk past the line of women still waiting. You are no longer able to smile politely to them. A kind soul at the very end of the line points out a piece of toilet paper trailing from your shoe. (Where was that when you NEEDED it??) You yank the pape r from your shoe, plunk it in the woman's hand and tell her warmly, "Here, you just might need this." As you exit, you spot your hubby, who has long since entered, used, and left the men's restroom. Annoyed, he asks, "What took y ou so long, and why is your purse hanging around your neck?" This is dedicated to women everywhere who deal with a public restrooms (rest??? you've GOT to be kidding!!). It finally explains to the men what really does take us so long. It also answers their other commonly asked questions about why women go to the restroom in pairs. It's so the other gal can hold the door, hang onto your purse and hand you Kleenex under the door! This HAD to be written by a woman! No one else could describe it so accurately! Send this to all women that need a good laugh AND, don't forget to have a mammogram!!!!!! It could save your life! A Friend Is Like A Good Bra... Hard to Find Supportive Comfortable Always Lifts You Up Never Lets You Down or Leaves You Hanging And Is Always Close To Your Heart!!! Posted: 1 years ago first lose the mad its not getting either of you anywhere... talk to the nutricionist, and read again ALL the above posts hon Im also gonna recommend again family counsel also as your dear family has grown thru alot and son does have real hard to deal with issues for him as well as for you and consistency in a course of positive action... you are a great mom Keri, but its gonna take awhile for anything to work truly save the various meds available... At this stage probly Me And I was one NEVER WANTED a comp in my house ROFL . Grumpy used to be most on .... Sammi has cut back as shes working now , and her hubby is pretty steady on it. I do emails, Pogo, Love that Canasta!!! heehee Here of course , research stuff, photos and occassionally do check the old My Space Sammi blackmailed me into setting up for pics of boys lol....They can say if they wish what they do online but Ebay Sammi My Space , pogo , Emails for sure and Pics... antygamma Joined: 1/11/07 Posts: 3827	Title: Ninja Liv, need help Posted: 1 years ago I just put hooks up on all doors I dont want babies opening , and Katie used to talk while she was sleepwalking She was SOOOO funny sometimes Shed get up and look around the house , then shed go try to pee in the potted plants or the mag rack hehheh She never remembered the next day. When she got up while we were asleep, shed either be found under our bed and at 3 I was working a Midnite to 4 am shift shortly after wede moved to a new neighbourhood. I went to check on her and couldnt find her ANYWHERE!!!! I Still remember how TERRIFIED I was shed got out after Gary went to bed We were both up and he was dressing FRANTICALLy and I was getting phone to call police when for some reason I went to the pantry again and mustve seen the rug move a tad ... looked and there she was sleeping soundly having rolled herself up in the rug..... Needless to say hook went up next AM and no more problems .
