Posted: 1 years ago I think its generally best to wait a bit and get to know each other and get financially prepared but life has a way of happening and it can work out sweetly as God Himself Is the author of ALL life after all . Age CAN be a HUGE deciding factor on getting started in this carreer age when women marry later in life and important to start sooner.. I was still here getting ready for move there and was on my way way to work when first tower was hit gal I worked w told me and I was like Uhhuh .. till I looked at the TV and saw the report then second was hit Needless to say Poppa DIDNT get his thereapy that AM as I wasnt dragging him from the TV I called my girls at home then I hurried thru some minimal duties to get Poppa ready for day then rushed home to comfort my Sammi and KK and call my husband Worried because I KNEW it was WAR OPENLY DECLARED ON US and TERRIFIED what it meant to my entire family also DEVASTATED at all we were seeing happening SORROWFUL for the peeps trapped and the stark TERROR unveiling before our eyes Seeing the towers come down people jumping from windows all that ash I remember thinking those were incinerated human remains covering the city and all in it and Soddam and Gommorah story came to mind , like was that what it was like? Sorrow so deep still comes whenere I see the stories and reports still being shown pain as sharp as that day I think EVERYONE in AMERICA was crying our hearts out and even several athiests agnostics and ALL were praying in some form I know our family was for sure I also had to go to work as I worked as a prayer counselor at CBN at time and I was able to at least pray w many loved ones for those trapped in city towers firefighters police you name it That turned out to be MY strength tho still So hurting for all... turned out there was plans left in a taxi that Honolulu was one of the planned targets and God spared them it was EXTREMELY Hard for me to convince Samantha that we HAD to get on a plane as planned that it would be safe by time we left God Willing we could leave on scheduel and 2 weeks later we flew over the Pentagon on our way to Hi Will I Ever forget the HORROR NO WAY Just as I Never forgot the horror of watching JFK get his brains blown out in his wifes lap as a child or the equally horrific horror of watching the Challenger blow up Some things cant be forgotten Ever May God watch over the loved ones of those lost always on that day and since for the cause and Bless our many brave military still fighting to keep us safe and all ER personel Phil 4:8 think on those things that are true,honest,just,pure,lovely and of good report,if there be any virtue any praise, think on these things prov.22:7 for as we think in our hearts ,so are we.... Worse is the fact that we the grown ups teach them from baby on that theres a pill or drug for Everything!!! And often think nothing of getting them all these things at first signs of sniffles.Iive grown friends addicted to pain meds tranquilizers etc.... and give the kids WAY TO MUCH MEDS for nothing!!!! jUST CAUSE IMITATING MOMS !!!! and Ive tried to get them help but they cant see sigh And same w alcohol The DRS keep prescribing and cycles go on and on Is it any wonder bout our kids? antygamma Joined: 1/11/07 Posts: 3827	Title: Question of the Day -- 9/11 Thoughts Posted: 1 years ago WELL I answered this pretty much yesterday on Rachels thread , but for one part Basically we REMEMBERED and in so doing and watching the update stories on some , I/we shed some tears and prayed .... 9/11 was indeed a scary, devastating event, not because accidents and disasters dont hit somewhere every day taking many lives, but because it was deliberate ....we all were part of a Declaration Of War on our country ,our people !!! Not a random act of terrorism... wE were targeted strategically, from one end of country to the other, w a direct attack on Pentagon also ... Lets NEVER FORGET THAT EITHER !!!!!! As we protest and criticize our Presidents actions.... I WILL ALWAYS be saddened by those events and all since, yet eternally grateful that nothing else was fought on our soil....that our families have been spared what so many other countries are not The HORROR of watching and LIVING in a War Zone ... We Didnt start it it was Declared ON US... Yet tho those whove died in towers, Pentagon, and planes.... and all those brave souls died valiently trying to help during and to this day... via Military... My heart and thoughts and love remain w the loved ones and them. Its not that I agree w every things been done Indeed Lots of Bungles... but overall I MUST applaud efforts on whole war thing as How do you just go in not sure of exactly where and who and what we will ultimately find? Sorry but 9/11 to ME will ALWAYS be the Day the unseen enemy Declared WAR and THREATENED MY Family ,My Friends ,My Neighbors, My Schools, My Country!!!! And I Thank God Every day we Havent caved to the Enemy . My dad was add I suspect I was also and I know my eldest was positively diagnosed as a young child and NONE of us was ever drugged We all finished HS and my daughter and I did some colledge but often dies in foods particularily red dies can really affect the add adhd and just plain hyper child some are even allergic to it and challenges galore occur Veggies, protien and a set time caffiene dose worked wonders for us Blessings on all ADD families I have seen such adverse horrific things go on w drugs given and please if your child gets diagnosed ADD PLEASE First see a dietician for safety and sanity Phil 4:8 think on those things that are true,honest,just,pure,lovely and of good report,if there be any virtue any praise, think on these things prov.22:7 for as we think in our hearts ,so are we.... Well that depends on moods and budget what coupons avaiable and whom in our house you ask heehee my girls will probly say Logans , Grumpy and I vacillate between seafood and steak or italian We do love Sterlings for best steak in Norfolk only w a 2 fer one meal ticket though....
