Posted: 1 years ago I have missed so few Sundays over last 30 yrs I can count on my hands hehheh Doesnt matter if we are traveling, visiting , I missed only when ill ,in Hosp., and few times when had too many babes to fit in car.... When I stayed home for most any reason including a few times I just was really frustrated w family and my feelings I felt I couldnt go ,I have watched on TV and participated that way .... It seems to me that He gives us EVERY minute , provides all we need, in all areas , and loves us unconditionally... we can come to Him ANY TIME day or nite w ANYTHING and least we can do is give Him one day of visiting His house no excuses , and thats how Ive tried to raise my family. Both my parents had one Lutheran and one Catholic parent , as also mom was Lutheran, Daddy Catholic..... I was raised Lutheran, and married a Baptist , and over the years we evolved as we attended Baptist, pentecostal, visited methodist, and various religions.... I say we evolved as we decided on the long journey that we were simply biblicist, If THE WORD Says It we Believe it and as long as a church teaches according to scripture , not scared to teach the hard truths as well as the beauty, and isnt so judgemental that it forgets we are ALL sinners in His sight, welcoming and loving all who need and want to know Him, well its a great house for us to be in... we have tried to teach our kids according to scripture and make certain they were active in all the various youth and kids ministies we could get em in ..,Gary and I were also prayer counselors for several yrs and he was his subs Lay Reader underway in his Submariner yrs... He even got to give Teddy Kennedy a Bible hehheh ... Needless to say weve never considered ourselves ABOVE anyone as we are far to human and have quite colorful pasts but it is amazing to see the differences growing in Christ has made in our thoughts, in our lives , no matter how far weve yet to go So Church is mandatory in our home .. I know and we Do practice worship in many ways, anywhere, all the time , but belonging to a family of Believers helps keep us in check in all aspects of our lives , speaking for Grumpy and I Phil 4:8 think on those things that are true,honest,just,pure,lovely and of good report,if there be any virtue any praise, think on these things prov.22:7 for as we think in our hearts ,so are we.... I can't tell you how much I honestly miss it too. We played everything from Hi Ho Cheerio to operation, to crazy 8s slap jack concentration old maid spite monopoly ,, scrabble ,Life , the girls and Grumpy and most kids still do Risque , battleship , We used to play quite spirited games of canasta , spades ,and all but me poker lol It was a fun place at our house tho sometimes I wonder if my adult girls really remember the fun Sam does more I think ....But those were some of the favs , we aso played Bible trivia and trivia pursuit and bingo , yatzee!!!! and so many other games!!!! Toys R Us pulls baby bibs showin high levels of lead Posted: 1 years ago The bib recalls started awhile ago at Target or Walmart stores I believe was walmart and it truly is like a chemical warfare has been waved on us quietly,in a way we couldnt really imagine , , hitting us from within our deepest heart ...our homes. Our babies, our pets , w food ,babies toys ,bibs ,and Lord alone knows what else and we ourselves have allowed it by buying all the foriegn made junk , even that what weve believed to be best quality its way too sad And Really What is there left left anymore thats made SOLELY In America, WITH PARTS Made In USA, etc.... Our locals generally have several listings private and public ...some just looking in white pages or googling in the names hope weve been of some of help.
