Title: Lisa's Pieces - A Weekend For Fun

Personally I have always enjoyed those impromptu trips to beaches ,boardwalks ,etc... when kids were smaller, we just tried to always hve dry clothes in car just in case and stopped at mccy ds or pizza place enroute.... and brought drinks in small cooler suits werent so important back then but when we were together it was soooo nice and I like to think the kids still remember all those things we did

Somehow I think this ones a no brainer and i also think we are all in agreement that its ALL wrong bottom line . It absolutely reflects on all sports, all fans all players ..... i personally have always THOUGHT that PlAYERS MAKE FAR TO MUCH MONEY FOR PLAYING GAMES PERIOD ,WHICH IN TURN ALLOWS THE COMPETITIVE SPIRIT TO GO ALL THE WAY TO DRUGS STEROIDS ,WOMANIZING WHATEVER AND I THINK ITS SAD THAT LIKE ACTORS , HECK ANY ENTERTAINERS .... THESE PEOPLE GET IDOLIZED AND WORSHIPPED AND FAR TO MANY ARE OVERALL POOR ROLE MODELS.... NOW PEEPS LIKE REGGIE JACKSON HAD /HAVE MY GREATEST RESPECT, BUT.... UNFORTUNATELY THEY ARE THE EXCEPTION RATHER THAN THE RULE.... SO WHILE I DO ENJOY A GREAT PLAYOFF IN LIKE BASKETBALL SHHHHH DONT TELL GRUMPY HEHHEH HELL EXPECT ME TO GO TO GAMES W HIM HEHHEH... I HATE THE COST AND THE ALWAYS WONDERING WHICH OF MY TEAMS BEST PLAYERS ARE INVOLVED IN THE ILLEGAL,IMMORAL ACTIVITIES THAT SEEM TO GO HAND IN HAND W FAME AND MONEY AND POWER. AND I THINK IT ABSOLUTELY AFFECTS AND REFLECTS POORLY ON SPORTS OVERALL

GOODBYE MOM

A young man shopping in a supermarket noticed a little old lady following him around. If he stopped, she stopped. Furthermore she kept staring at him.

She finally overtook him at the checkout, A! nd she t urned to him and said, "I hope I haven't made you feel ill at ease; it's just that you look so much like my late son."

He answered, "That's okay."

"I know it's silly, but if you'd call out "Good bye, Mom" as I leave the store, It would make me feel so happy."

She then went through the checkout, And as she was on her way out of the store, The man called out, "Goodbye, Mom."

The little old lady waved, and smiled back at him.

Pleased that he had brought a little sunshine Into someone's day, he went to pay for his Groceries.

"That comes to $121.85," said the clerk.

"How come so much ... I only bought 5 items.."

The clerk replied, "Yeah, but your Mother said

well, I now have my grandkids daughter and sil under our roof, but only for a time till they get back on their feet....... while its an adjustment for all, so far its working pretty good, and I am honestly glad to have the opportunity to try to give Sammi some much needed breaks. At moment both my little guys have caught the nasty flu bug, and still adjusting to getting to know us, but baby adjusting great sick and all and Elijah lives for his time w Aunty KK hehheh Poor Sams been suffering w a dental dilemma and though tooth now gone , shes still in a great dea of pain ... i think she may need antibitics if she still needing codien e and tylenol tomorrow, but ...... overall, i think we are working together and thats gonna make all the difference .... my grans are starting to know the gramma and Grumpy and it just feels good to be a family again

I recently made a batch of pancakes for my healthy 14-year-old son, mix that was in our pantry. He said that they tasted "funny," but ate them anyway. About 10 minutes later, he began having difficulty breathing and his
Lips began turning purple. I gave him his allergy pill, had him sit on the sofa and told him to relax.

He was wheezing while inhaling and exhaling.

My husband, a volunteer Firefighter and EMT, heated up some water, and we had my son lean over the water so the steam could clear his chest and sinuses.
Soon, his breathing became more regular and his lips returned to a more normal color.

We checked the date on the box of pancake mix and, to my dismay, found it was very outdated.

As a reference librarian at an academic institution, I
Have the ability to search through many research databases. I did just that, and found an article the next day that mentioned a 19-year-old male DYING after
Eating pancakes made with outdated mix.

Apparently, the mold that forms in old pancake
Mix can be toxic!

When we told our friends about my son's close call, we were surprised at the number of people who mentioned that they should check their own pancake mix
Since they don't use it often, or they had purchased it some time ago.

With so many people shopping at warehouse-type stores and buying large sizes of pancake mix, I hope your readers will take the time to check the expiration date on their boxes.

Also, beware of outdated cake, brownie and cookie mixes.

wow have done so much !!! As I type we have the BUG in house AGAIN as I have so many lil ones it seems to be going round an round this time its had the grandsons , ... but a li motrin, or baby tylenol, pedialyte or ater ade and the clear starchy route and tons of cleanups, tlc andsoon alls well , this year has been bad for summer virus tho w all our babes, but im hoping its finally run its course.... for older kids colds its mint tea w oil of peppermint, warm coke or gingerale, homemade chicken soup w lots o garlic and onions to flavor the broth, still best cold remedys and maybe some echinachia

I know your hearts swelling w pride and its so interesting how diff areas do vbs different times maybe now we will see more great shares I loved as a child and my kids all loved and now the next generation is also truly happy to go and bring the friends too.
