Very well written, on most fronts. After alls said and done it is up to us   the family, to gauge what our kids see and hear, and when appropriate , to show and discuss what they are  exposed to. music, tv, movies,rags, mags,  who are our friends   what do we listen too, where do we go, what do we watch. how do we vote, do we go to church, do bible study,   what do we wear.    i absolutely believe that if we fail to be a parent and opt to be friend we are doomed to fail our kids right there.  because true friends let you know when wrong is wrong and right is right , even as kids..     its important   for moms and dads to work together .and set limits where  there are two parents. 

 barbie is even the beginning role model for most girls,   look at  all the plastic surgery   sigh   Teach them , show them how sad Brits are, what lack of self respect they have.   I figure   that because   our kids  Do go with friends  and parents dont  pay attention to who those friends are or what parents of friends allow that  society does get its grip even when we try our hardest. However, if weve cared, taught, and  held firm, even if they go wild from release   as freedom allows with age, , they will go back to caring roots.  And 4ever 21 was mentioned Im impressed to see it written what I thought of that clothing hooker wear. . Its always been tuff to be a parent, but life is harder now than ever God be with all you young parents  as you struggle to find  the best path for your indivdual youngsters .  stds, scholl nurses   helping young teens get abortions in secret, as protection  from parents   , giving condoms in schools, they dont need permission for  the pill,   Scares me to DEATH. we allow dating very young. Oh this topic has me ramblin.... so much to say not enuff space nor time to  say it right. Do your best mommys   ,to sum it up. Use your Bibles, churches, youth groups to help. But above all, Be the Parent and you WILL be the best friends your kids ever had. Talk, listen, and set rules, set the standards. And Love them   Thats all   folks

i was 22 for kk, and 27 for sammi. while i wish  i had done things differently, it wasnt ages i   had issues with. I love both my girls so much, wanted them desperately when  they came. Honestly w KK, I did go thru  a short hormonal thing at first.scared and alone , but  except for wishing I was married when I had  , well, I did  pretty good job I think overall. still sad there werent more , as i had at least one , possibly 2 miscarraiges they werent sure .but   i have more babies now  than i ever thought id have  even tho birthed and raised by other mommies , .

I dont believe theres a perfect age  no. I do think that  we should wait  till were ready, but some gals are just born to mother. others  discover later that being moms  for them after all. and some peeps just  do not ever  develope the mommy gene. meanwhile   its all ok.

Ive metioned earier posts that my wedding was quick, and small, but while i  wasnt  overjoyed w the wedding nite , my wedding was still special none the less. my preacher actually cried  as he performed our ceremony as he truly was seeing/participating in a miracle of sorts .but  to begin the day

   It was cold that spring am, and we had a tiff  before we began. huby was scared  of getting married again. cranky is good word  ,tho he actually had sung' GOIN TO THE CHAPELLL ANND WERE ONNA ET MMAARRRRRIED 'TEEHEE,that was special to me , but SKIP,our dog was wanting to go with us to church and he escaped us ,making us late to our wedding, ..... then ,our friends who were standing up were waiting at church, and  there was no rehearsal  so this was  interesting ,the 8 mill camera had to be plugged in but we couldnt get it  hooked up to good place so had to fake it after teehee. my girls were there, got kk out of scholl to attend, and my friends from church  had actually gotten us flowers, and sat in attendance w kids   unknown to me till  then I apperantly was commidenne as I THREATENED HUBBYS LIFE AT 'TILL DEATH TO US PART' part if he ever messed around on me. he thought that was priceless and wished at that point that  hed conceded to  allow me to have had my family and our friends present.   but  it really turned ot very nice, we had lunch at our house after, then took sammi to drs and went to my sisters to announce it was done. then   home. that evening   my friends from my chrch all gave us a surpize wedding party. and again, it was lovely.......When we got home and  got ready , my hubby wore his dress blues   the pants w the button  flap front dadadadadada  da da dada teehee, Then he realized he was actually MY HUSBAND  and Ran outa dodge before morning light  Its funny now   but then    AAARRGGHH  That was my wedding day. AND HERE WE STILL ARE   25 YRS LEGALLY LATER    .   .........MAN AND WIFE     . GOD IS GOOD .

OKOK  I AM GUILTY!!!!!!! I am Sammis mommy , and I  will say in my favor that when they were kids not much was thought about the images  that I ever heard  till too late, and by then they were past Barbie stage, Love the Polly Pockets and as adult  joke we got her bratz for christmas  riding a skooter i think and looking tuff girl, anything boys can do  u know. I do agree that we do set standards, and I dont like most of todays stuff even g deals w  sneaking some more adult humor  too often   yet life is what weve made it. that stuffs out there and if we are really lucky and blessed we can still  teach them thru this stuff.  the dolls, the weapons ,the movies    age appropriatly   of course. I HATE 4ever21, fashions, yet  my opinions been outvoted for yrs.... thats where united parents come in. and daddies for daughters w these issues. my hubby never found anything wrong w this stuff, so i was oft outvoted. i wish my taste was more  valued , but I was a trashy dressing teen, sigh and outgrew it. for now ,if I like it, its gotta mean its in bad taste lol. as most of you are yougner, I think you have all gone thru this at some pt, to some extent, w your moms. and yet look at and listen to most of you now. you outgrew it sounds like. It does matter what we teach them, and if we think  these images are trashy, we can use to our childrens advantage,  but again, its OUR influence, our rules and our teachings that hopefully win out over societys.I learned alot from my mistakes with my girls as well as my successes. my girls werent drug addicts and they didnt get in trouble w law, they never came home pg or got into certAIN THINGS WHILE UNDER MY ROOF. I am beginning to see some of the values I tried my best to teach, taking root at last, and  and so I KNOW my girls Did hear more of what I taught than  I thought for awhile. So again just love em, do your best, hopefully trust God and Word and pray hard for em   and you will be proud  and happy  moms. and dads . Sammi , You are starting to get some of what I tried to teach you  back,and Yes, I am proud you are my daughter, even when we disagree lol and I really think Bratz are not the best, but not worst, have seen more gals doing plastic surgery to mimic Barbie than I care to see.in real life, so jurys in on Barbie and that speaks VOLUMES for effects of thise things  in our lives, so plzz look, listen and pray. then Listen  and act accordingly in all things.. thats to All of us too. Im proud theres even this debate. reat parenting here, WTG All
