antygamma Joined: 1/11/07 Posts: 3827	Title: Best parenting/marriage books Posted: 2 yearss ago love focus on the family series by james dobson and son one of best i ever utilized was focus on the family . also love all stormy omartians power of a praying wife power of praying parent, and whole series fabulous . okies forgot the Whys Because I raised strong willed babies and hubby has always had intamacy issues ... The stormy series put me on a Great strategy of prayer , in more focussed directions and Gary Smalleys If He only Knew showed me I was a normal woman w normal needs ,wants ,desires , and some big gender differences. My husband actually read it and was willing to try some od the methods and it helped, while all Focus series ,books films tapes were also designed for Whole Family wellness. Love em All and even got to meet both authors . Posted: 2 yearss ago howdy momma, you sound like a mommy thats cool and fun and that alone says you are gonna give her a great memory ... tho i love the impersonater idea, way too extreme , however whatever you do getting some friends/relatives together for a spoof well thats truly creative u could actually include the girls invited like wear something from theme. ive raised 2 girls and tho they moan, they row up and appreciATE THE MEMORYS FROM SOME FUNN things, Ive had beach partys sleepovers backyard shindigs and indoor crowds with cookouts cheap eats, spaghetty and garlic bread, or pizza , depending where and how many. weve had all family gatherings and teen only allowed.... the only thing consistant in em all was that had to fit budget much as possable, and and had to leave a memory lasting All always had fun, and sometimes party was the gift the friends cake and pics games or outings were always special with a little or alot .. tis the love recieved that counts Happy Partying let us know what the plan is Phil 4:8 think on those things that are true,honest,just,pure,lovely and of good report,if there be any virtue any praise, think on these things prov.22:7 for as we think in our hearts ,so are we.... antygamma Joined: 1/11/07 Posts: 3827	Title: Stay-at-Home Jobs Posted: 2 yearss ago well girls guess I need to check out some of your businesses lol, I DEFINATELY need to lose wght, applepatch huh thats new one. okiesssss most of you know what I do as stay at home [mostly] wife /gramma I should call my home grannys lovin daycare or something lol but I am getting more kids all the time it seems and have to refer many away. I did it when my kids were little, and now that theyre grown. weeks like this can be hectic, but im full up with 6 of em this week, all diff ages. I also wk church nursery pt time hrs seasonally.... but I honestly love it and all my lttle surrogate grans and if i charged what ive heard are going rates id be doing preety good teehee prefer to keep it as peeps can do tho and usually reinvest in the kids lol Phil 4:8 think on those things that are true,honest,just,pure,lovely and of good report,if there be any virtue any praise, think on these things prov.22:7 for as we think in our hearts ,so are we.... antygamma Joined: 1/11/07 Posts: 3827	Title: Hungry/fussy baby Posted: 2 yearss ago i would say give baby more cereal your responsability is too keeping little sweety happy and comfortable , and thats a compromise... with mom..... unless theres a physical reason for her not eating. While there are some babies who want nothing but milk, breastfed or otherwise, but if babies not getting enough food, her tummys probly cramping, has she teeth yet? if so her chewing reflex is in place also you may try researching topic on net printing out facts and presenting to mom and sadly refusing to sit anymore if she stays stubborn. breastmilk may be all thats needed but peeps dont stop to consider that they dont always eat to produce rich filling milk either. However while hes going thru it , just be sure you and your mom stay on same page with expectations, rules and reward and discipline. Like time outs away from others grown or kids, while hes out of control, and playing only while he stays calm. No more than ONE warning ,then action on adults part. Ive learned that spanking at that stage generally only teaches them that thats appropriate to do to others , I try to get all my charges at table ,in highchairs, boosters , etc when I see wild , give em a quite snack,like fruit and or whole grain cookies or cereal, and little drink helps. Ten when permissable, take em out for a walk , and consistant nap times for ALL everyday under school age. Just a few of Grannys tips Hope it helps.
