Day 2 - What fun it is

You know there has to be something happening if you are excited about going to work.  The main reason for the excitement - I finally got a chance to be by myself in the 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan!  What a nice way to ride to work!

After carpooling kids to school like I do every morning, and settling the dispute of "I get middle", I made my 17 mile trip to work, usually it is spent flipping radio stations and having the conversation to the car in front of me to hurry up to get out of the way because of my impatience.  Well today, I took my sweet time and the rear end of the van was probably talked to telling me to get out of the way.

I enjoyed finding my way through the satelite radio - LOVE THIS!  I went out before I left for work to find what I wanted, then all I had to do was go to that station.  How nice it was to listen to the music, all in genres I liked and could switch to something else I liked right off bat instead of flipping radio stations.  Although, I have to admit, I am getting old at the ripe age of 36 - Howard Stern does not seem as funny and interesting as it use to in my younger days.

When I was pulling into the parking lot I called up to my office and several of my coworkers came down to view my ride for a week.  They all were very impressed by it, and all had different comments.  Even my single, no kid friends liked it - which says ALOT for the design.  After everyone looked, and one drove - it is a lucky day, I found "princess parking" which at my office building means 10 within the front door.  At lunch one associate and I made a trip to Costco, how nice it was to come out of Costco, hit the key pad twice to open the back tailgate, instead of having to manually do it.  This is a great feature - hands free door access to the back 2 doors and trunk.  Upon returning to work, it is still my lucky day - yes you guessed it "princess" still.  So now, if this is the way it goes for driving a new Dodge Grand Caravan - totally worth it, me not have to walk what seems like a football field to get to the front door.

Tonight, we all went to Church of Joy Christmas light display, 2 miles of Christmas lights - totally cool!  The kids had a ball looking at all the lights, which by the way if laid out flat would go from Glendale, AZ to Dallas, TX - fact on the radio station they have you tune into.  What a great ride through there, the kids all had a good seat and with the back windows that roll down, made it all the better for them.

While we were on our way home, all 3 of our kids asked to keep driving so they could have a longer ride.  This is a feat in itself, as my kids are usually the ones saying "ARE WE THERE YET".  Great job Chrysler, however how do I get them out????
