I know, I know, there are lots of them. A romantic movie, an adventure movie, one from when you were little and so on, but just list one here.
If someone wants to start a thread listing the five or ten top movies that would be great, but for here, it's got to be number one.

I'll start it - 'The Princess Bride'. It's got everything. Fun, adventure, romance, good message, quotable lines, and so on.
If you saw this movie and didn't like it, we might be friends, but there would be something missing. The whole idea of not liking The Princess Bride if you've seen it is inconceivable.

1. Sixteen Candles is my all time favortie.
What girl who grew up in the 80's could not relate with Sam . . ..
2. Sweet Home Alabama
Cheesy - Cheesy I know, but gotta love it when the romance wins out!

Wow, another tough one. OK, some good choices, but I am going to pick one that I don't think many will pick, perhaps even saw.
Aliens. The second one. With Sigourney Weaver (I probably butchered her name). It's action, sci-fi, comedy pieces -- and aliens. It was so good. I remember seeing it in movie theaters, thinking how cool it would be to be a space marine fighting those ugly things. It's an amazing movie. Considering when it was done, the special effects are insane.
And, since others put two, I am going to go with Forrest Gump as my second. So many classic lines. An amazing story and Tom Hanks was superb. Come on...

Mary Poppins! This is my all time favorite! There are many others that I have enjoyed over the years...The Princess Bride is one of those. I own that as well as The Little Princess which I absolutely LOVE as well. I also enjoyed The Lake House and could watch it over and over again. I went with two girlfriends who thought it was terrible. I wonder if they were actually watching?
Movies are something that I enjoy watching either at home or in the theater. My children also love going to the movies, but I think that it might just be the excitement of the theater experience, and all the treats that I bring long. LOL

It's toughy, but I would have to say "Like Water For Chocolate."
Oh, and I waited on Sigourney Weaver while waiting tables in College in Hawai'i. She is the tallest woman I've ever seen - and my sister is 5' 11" so I stand next to tall a lot.

Well here's one most of you will not reconize but all should see it.
Random Harvest This movie will make you cry, I'm a movie buff,
and none match this one. It's an oldie but a goodie.
