Title: What is your biggest fear?
Posted: 2 yearss ago

Being a parent is tough! It's not easy sometimes, and somedays it can get down right crazy!

I guess mine is looking back and saying did I do enough for my girls? Two of my girls are hard of hearing. One is in Deaf ed and the other has been mainstreamed. I think daily as I deal with people in the educational department, doctors, ENTs, speech paths, " Am I doing enough for them?" I advocate for them all the time. I email, I call, I voice my experiences and demand to have something done for the lack of services being provided.

I work so hard with them every day to keep them caught up. We purchased am FM system for them at home as well so that they would have the benefit at all times not just in school.

Still at the end of the day, I lay my head down and roll on my back. I ask the same question as I do every night," Am I doing enough?"

I guess only the future will tell. I can only pray for today and hope for tomorrow that they will have the determination, dedication and patience to become what they want to become.

my biggest fear is that my daughter iwll have heart failure or a heart attack or not come off of bypass one time or that she will just not make it out of the hospital one of these times.

my secound biggest fear and one that i will inevitably face is my child dying... her expected life span is 30-40 years and i'm only 19 years old... that puts me at sixty when she dies if she's at the high end of the pool. its scary to think that i will see my daughters entire life but its nice because she has special needs i'll always be there for her if she needs me

Some things i think about

"What if a flower could end war?"

"watching something so beautiful and knowing you made it...."

"The most amazing thing in life is feeling it grow inside you"

My biggest fear is my kids not making it to thier old age. Kids these days are so reckless and just dont think before they leap.

Cancer. It terrifies me. Just had a negative biopsy report today. I had been holding my breath for a few days.

this may sound ridiculous but my biggest fear is the dentist. when i was 2, my mother went to the dentist and never came home. more'n 14 yrs later, we were finally told why; she had Malignant Hyperthermia. the strain of MH my family has includes locals as well as general/inhalant anesthetics.

i dont fear the pain. i have had teeth drilled and pulled w/ nothing. i dont want my children to deal w/ the trauma that i have. to have a mother "go home" so unexpectedly. its bad enough to pass on the MH!

i have a dentist appt. set for early June for some caps. i have known this dentist for more'n 30 yrs and he does know what he can use and what he cant and has a crash cart set up w/ the hospital only 1 mile away. but i got hysterical just making the appt.! i need to get these teeth fixed or risk other health issues.

ok i need to stop thinking bout this now. i'm terrified! but i will be fine. right?

My biggest fear for my kids is their physical safety. I am not comfortable when they are driving until they call and say they reached their destination.
