Happiest place on earth? Try 'Busiest place on earth'. If you go early and don't care about maddening crowds, its a blast. My best trips to D-land have been in October and May. Thoughts?

I agree! Summertime is the blues at Disneyland. We had a GREAT vacation there in December. Smile

Never been to Disneyland, but I imagine it to be the same as any theme park in the Summer (i.e., annoying). I prefer the beach in the spring when fewer people are there and I do my theme parks in October when their season is winding down (although in places like CA and FL, they are always in season).

Although they are always in season, it seems that early May (before grads and after Spring Break) are great. And you go early, leave for a nap in the heat of the day, and come back until close. Like everything, there is a method. Smile The problem with May is that I'd rather be in Tuscany.

I will let everyone know about the day after turkey day - as I will be one of the, hopefully, few there.

The last time I went was in June and besides the crowds in the summer, it is also HOT.  We tend to forget that the park is inland, so that nice beach breeze is not available.  Even though the temps do not measure to the ones experienced by those who live in AZ, standing in the long lines with the sun beating down on you with humidity is not a fun experience.  Of course, the young children don't notice that at all.

I totally agree with the May time or anytime in the fall/spring when most kids are in school, to help with the crowds.  And look forward to hearing how the day after Thanksgiving is, hope you guys have a blast.

I heard that MommyTalk is throwing a party at Disneyland but we have to have 10K people first, so invite all your friends!!

Ok, I just made that up, but why not?  The MommyTalk Disneyland Extravaganza, 2007.  Three days, four nights, lots of discounts and tons of mom, dads, and little darlings, all running amok in the happiest place on earth!

Disneyland at Thanksgiving time is WONDERFUL!  Our longest line was 45 minutes max.  Thanksgiving day was the busiest, if you can believe that, however Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were a breeze.  I would suggest that time, the weather and crowds were just right!
