pezzyJoined: 9/04/06 Posts: 1586 Mommytalking Super Legend Rep points: 15100 Send PM | Title: Pregnancy fashion Posted: 2 months ago hehehe when i was pregnant with simon i never bought maternity clothes all the clothes i normally wore were big enough (baggy mens shorts and pants, big t shirts). this time i had to buy maternity shorts because im carrying way lower so my normal clothes got uncomfy fast. first i ordered 2 pairs of shorts from oldnavy.com they were both the same size but of course one fit and the other pair was huge and the packing slip dissapeared so i couldnt send them back =(. well one pair wasnt going to cut it so off we went to an actually old navy store so i could try stuff on only problem is theres not many that have a maternity section so we drove clear across town to go to one. luckly i found 2 more pair and one was pretty cheap on clearance bad thing is one pair ended up fitting rather oddly after being washed (very loose in the waist but really tight in the thigh area always felt like my butt was hanging out) so i found a decent pair at target for cheap. i hate hate hate buying clothes and i really hate buying clothes that i know i wont be wearing for very long i generally wear clothes till they start falling apart then they might get to stick around as pjs or something. i had a real big problem when we had a short cold spell i didnt want to buy a pair of long pants to wear for such a short time so i ended up wearing a pair of tims jeans, yeah that didnt work out so great they were still tight on my very low belly so i broke down and bought a pair of pants i also bought a maternity shirt but just one since even my huge shirts were starting to show off the bottom of my belly =(. currently the item i spend the most time try to pick to wear is a shirt ill stand in the closet comparing lengths hehe pants ive have just been wearing pj pants since they are comfy and i havent left the house in awhile, shoes ha i never wear heels but i did buy a new pair of shoes you know the kind you dont have to fight to tie i got tired of it seeming like it took me 30 mins to get shoes on. currently i havent worn anything but pj pants and i put my flip flops (even they are tight)on once since saturday but ill have to wear actual clothes to go to the doctor on friday if im lucky maybe labor will come tonite hehe. | |

I was not stylish before I got pregnant, was not stylish while I was pregnant and certainly am not stylish now...oh well. | |

I'm so with you on that. LMAO. I didn't have to really buy bigger clothes till I was about 7 months pregnant, and all i did was get the jeans with the cloth around the top. I always wore longer shirts (or maybe they are normal length and I'm just short). | |

I wore maternity clothes that have been around for years, worn by several different people for several different pregnancies, and shipped all over the country to get to said people. Some were falling apart, some were so far out of style I should have been embarrassed to wear them. But my theory was, as it usually is, "who gives a sh!t what other people think."
