Title: Your Kids Achievements
Posted: 3 months ago

This somewhat goes hand-in-hand with our feature today, where we talk about our kids' sports and hobbies. What have your kids achieved? Maybe they're too young and the most they've achieved is having a head size that goes off the doctor's charts! If they're a little older, though, have they won anything? Maybe their team won a tournament or a playoffs. Maybe they won something in a science fair or even for Field Day at school. Brag about those awards here!

Both of my boys are too young to have won awards at school, however.. gabriel has achieved walking, feeding himself, several critical words to express his wants, and most importantly how to hug and kiss and snuggle with his mommy!  Joshua is only 3 months old and he has accomplished sleeping thru the night!  And he's also accomplished snuggling and smiling and laughing!

Both girls won Baby Contests..nothing exciting, but great for My ego!

Otherwise, Savannah is really involved in Girl Scouts and has earned a lot of badges.

My Ds is also too young to have awards and such, but he's so capabale of anything its amazing what they can do in life!  Last week at Daycare his teacher was proud to show how Brandon was drawing a very detailed picture and without direction or assistance, wrote his own name!!  So it wasn't in order but it was close.. hehe, so cute

My eldest daughter has lettered 3 times so far on her high school Swim Team.  She has been to Regionals twice and is preparing to go again this next week.  She has also been on the State Championship team twice.  She is a great girl!

My eldest son has been elected twice for the Student Council, last year as the Historian.  He has also been in a few events for the Special Olympics.  I am always so proud of his achievements and how hard he works to attain them.

My youngest two children are currently on their Cross Country team at school.  They have participated in several meets so far, and while they may not be the fastest runners, they have never given up and have always finished the races.

All of my kids have won the Student of the Month Awards through their schools for outstanding behaviour and academics.  They always try and do their very best!

Rivers is still on the young side, but I think he has achieved a few things apart from the milestones you watch so closely at this age.  He has recently graduated from the parent / child swim lessons to the 3 / 4 yr. old class and at 2 1/2 he is the youngest, but the doesn't stop my fearless little boy.

He also has learned the skill of deciding when to listen and when to strive for his independence and I say deciding seriously because by his speech and action you can tell 100% that he is making an actual decision to do as he wishes.  This means that I have to get very creative in giving him choices so that he chooses the task I desire him to do at the time.

Fun stuff!
