Did you have more than one and find out for all of them, some of them or none of them? What made you decide to find out? Did you tell everyone else after you found out (if you did)?

Hubby didn't want to know the last one so it was so hard not to tell him. I had a feeling I knew what the sex was for each one before they told me and I was right all 3 times. I always thought I wanted it to be a surprise, but when it came right down to it, I couldn't wait. If someone asked me if I knew the sex and they wanted to know, I told them (except for the last one). Stop and look how miraculous God is by the colors of the season.

I couldn't wait to find out the first time. We went with the thought of, it will still be a surprise when we find out, just a different time.

Can't wait! LOL just have to wait til Dec 20th to find out!!

Well, my first one I met when she was 2 years old, so I knew she was a girl!

When they told me Anna was a girl, I wasn't surprised at all (I come from a very large family where everyone has girls), but when I was pregnant with my son and they told me a boy, I was in shock! My mother had three girls. Her sister had three girls. Her brother had three girls (and the only boy) so we were just so surprised. Now that we have one of each, we always said if we have another one, we want to be surprised, but I don't know if I'd make it. Knowing they can tell you in that 5th month is too hard to pass up. Plus, my babies are delivered via c-section and honestly -- the surprise wouldn't make much difference when you're all drugged up on a cold metal table, not caring about too much. If I was going through real labor and pushing, maybe I'd wait because I'd want something like that to look forward to.

We let our first be a surprise and it was great! Everyone was guessing and doing all these crazy things (old wives tales) to tell us and 90% of people said we would have a girl, and it was a boy! It was the best surprise in the world! Right then we decided we did not want to know when we had other children. with our second it was not doubt we would not find out, because as an above post said, it is the greatest surprise in the world! My hubby and i really did think we were having a girl this time. All the old wives tale said so, the chinease calendar said so, and my pregnancy was completely different. AND we had another boy! It was a wonderful surprise. Sure I would have loved a girl but it really did not matter as long as the baby was healthy. Sooo we have two boys that we never found out the sex before the day they were born. I'm done having children but if I were'nt I'd still not find out, because in this life there are not enough good surprises and the day you give birth to a beuatiful baby, I just don't think it matters boy or girl and it is the best feeling in the world with they tell you what it is after all the trials of labor and delivery, the world just stands still for one quick moment! The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.

It was so much fun to be surprised at birth. I did actually have a very strong feeling with both, and was right both times. This time around we are still debating. It would be kind of nice planning-wise (one of the kids will have a new roommated and it would be nice to have things figured out beforehand) but at the same time I really liked waiting. I also know that ultrasounds, as useful and awesome as they are, are not always accurate on that. First, they can't always tell (my brother and sil desparately wanted to know with my niece, but she was very shy and modest and wouldn't give them a look). I also have a friend who was pg with baby 4 (their last one). They had 3 boys, and she was told it was definitely a girl. She was SO excited to be having a girl! Then at birth the dr said "It's a boy!" The room got silent and she said "Why would you say that? That's not funny!!!!!" She couldn't believe that it was another boy. Granted, she loves him just as much, but it was a shock and an adjustment. So, the jury is still out for now. "I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth." -Psalm 57:9-11.

We found out, I couldn't wait and have to much a planner type personality. Of course, we told everyone and DH proudly showed the ultrasound picture.

He then asked and sure enough she was a girl. As for Miss Shelby, she was so beyond stubborn during ultrasounds. She wouldn't hold still long enough to get the pictures they needed let alone to show us what she was, so we were surprised with her. (Between the 2 of us we already had 4 girls, so we kinda figured she was going to be a girl.) LeeAnn Mom to Lara (24) Stacie (17) Savannah (7) and Shelby (5)
