We are trying to get some cheap tickets around Christmas to go back and visit Amanda's parents, but they are so expensive. Phoenix to AZ shouldn't be $400 each, should they?!?!?!

I have never bought airline tickets online, but I always see those commercial for cheap airfare. Hope you find a good deal somewhere! Good Luck Heather

If you were to go any other time, they would be very reasonable. We flew in Septemeber - 5 of us to IL and it was only $198.00 per person - Christmas in July- is a good theory to avoid price goudging by the airlines. kelrae22 Joined: 10/17/06 Posts: 784 *Mommytalking Super Legend* Rep points: 18321 Send PM	Title: Cheapest Tickets Posted: 2 yearss ago My brother his wife and there 2 kids are coming to AZ from NJ for Thanksgiving.....and we realized that it really is the dates...you have to stay for more then 4 days atleast through a saturady and fly the day of or day after the holiday. My brothers family is flying in from NJ they land at 5 pm on Thanksgiving day.....it was about 200 or so (we are also paying for car parking at airport). They also booked in way in advance. So we are doing Thanksgiving Friday all day and Thursday night we are doing the Italian style. Hope that helps!!!! What we also did was....instead of buying gifts for the whole family my husband and I paid $268 dollars my sister paid $268 dollars my parents $268 and my brother paid $268 this way everyone was paid for to fly out here from Nj and we would much rather see eachother and have family time with eachother then just buy random gifts........ I have to say though. It really depends on the dates. Flying around christmas is always going to get you. It's just too easy for them to charge alot because they know you are going to pay it anyways. But, for other trips, look at flying out on Wed/Thur and flying home Mon/Tue. That typically helps lower the flights. Good luck!
