Back in the 70's when everyone was still smoking and drinking, those babies were smaller than now, when moms have knowledge at their fingertips and vitamins and supplements at hand. So, let's see how big these babies were.

jenni182 Joined: 11/23/07 Posts: 205 *Seasoned Vet* Rep points: 2326 Send PM	Title: Baby Birth Weight Posted: 11 months ago I was not expecting ds to come as early as he did, but he was ready to come when he wanted to, which was almost 4 weeks early, so we were very lucky that he was already 5lb 15 oz.. so only 2 weeks in the hospital and then we could go home So thank the lucky stars he wasn't any bigger, because it was about 12 minutes of labour, with no medication or anything, and it was a wonderful birthing experience

Ha, May 5th 2007, I gave birth to Kayleigh Anne and she was 9lbs 3oz! Even today she's a big lil girl (95th percentil for her height and weight.) He was 6lbs. 4 oz. He lost to 5 lbs. 12 oz. in the hospital. Rorey was born also 3 1/2 weeks early after trying to come nearly 12 weeks early. She was 5 lbs. 12 oz. She lost to 5lbs. 3 oz. in the hospital.
