So, anyone out there musically gifted? Maybe it's you or your spouse, but perhaps you have a budding rocker in your garage or a pianist in your living room. Maybe your child sings. Singing should certainly count! What musical talents are there in your house?

I tried flute in eight grade DH played trumpet through high school, he hated it.  i was in choir so my voice was my instrument.

Wow, despite loving music, who knows if I would have been gifted if I stuck with an instrument...all I know is that I didn't and now  have very little sense of tone & rhythm (except when I was pregnant). 

I played the violen for a year and the clarinet for another year.  I was pretty good at both, but just did not enjoy it and quit - did that with several hobbies, until martial arts.

DH is a guitarist, has played for years, very passionate about it and uses his talent as his profession.

We'll see about our little one - he sure does love music so far and no surprise, likes the guitar.

I played trumpet in 5th grade band for 1 quarter, but quit because I HATED it, I wanted to play the flute gosh darn it.  Hannah plays the flute now and is awesome at it.  She loves it and picks it up frequently at home - for this being her 1st year, she is a joy to listen too.  She is already playing music way beyond her level, which is nice!

Sam wants to play guitar, so that will be his birthday present this year.

However, all the kids ROCK at guitar hero!

I took piano for 6 years as a kid.. i can still play a little but to be consistant I would have to sit down for a few weeks and practice.... first i have to get a piano again..hehehe.  My hubby took guitar lessons two years ago for about a year.  He always wanted to play and he enjoyed it even though he was never headed for a band! 

Jess can play the guitar a lil...no pro though its sweet though he sings too...

I took some piano lessons before Jr high. I can play a lil. all through school I was in choir. In competitions, won many awards with my group for ensemble so I think that means we were good.

 

Randy played trumpet through high school.  I played flute and piccolo (ok, I know that's how you spell it, but that just looks weird...).  I also took piano lessons from second grade through my freshman year in college.  I really love playing the piano...not so much for other people as for my own relaxation.  But, I haven't really had one available since college.  My parents still have one, as do dh's parents.  There is also one next door at the church that I am welcome to use.  But, it's just not always convenient to pack things up and head somewhere to practice.  And I know that even with having played for that long, I would need quite a bit of practice after having this long of a break.  But yeah, I really miss it.

I played flute, clarinet and a little sax in high school and i play classic guitar electric guitar and most of all bass its my outlet for stuff i love playing music and listening and making music next i want to learn piano

I played clarinet through high-school, and still have it even (just don't know if I could play it pretty well still). I do know how to play the piano, and absolutely love playing it. My baby is unable to play anything, the instruments are all bigger than he is, but I hope that one day he make become interested in playing one!!
