Something we might not even think to do unless our kids are sick, but our kids' toys are full of germs!!! Do you ever get really serious and clean everything?

Mostly just bleaching the bath toys-for mildew.  I am not into anti-bacterial I believe it is done too much.  My kids are bearly sick- I can count the # on both my hand the times both my kids have been to the DR.  Barely any Ear infections and colds three times a year.  Last year Nolan did get the Roto viris as did his whole preschool class I did clean and disenfict the whole house for that- I was told and I believe it that your children need to be exposed to germs to build up immunity.  i don't allow them to lick their toys and I don't stand over everything with anti-bacterial sanitizer.  also hand sanitizer has a high alchol volume I carry around wipes for my kids instead.

I was never big on the whole sanitizing thing either.  I of course cleaned and would wipe something down if it did get dirty, but in order to bleach everything down all the time no.  I however did use lysol to go around if needed.

With my daughter toys when shes sick & when I see them dirty. My boys we see them play with them once then we never see them again(they throw them in a bin in their closet)

HMMMMM Personally I think  I clean  all toys  to some extent  bout once a month   cept fer lil cars  Specially when I have multiple kids  then its weekly    Toss washable hard toys in  dishwasher  stuffed gets sprayed w cleaner then tossed in drier  only lysol when been sick kids here   all things  like dolls yard stuff daily as needed 

I'm with D and mommy02 on this one.  I clean if I see that it is dirty or if I get a hand me down toy from someone.  I think I need to do it more especially the bath toys but when I see dirt or whatever else, I clean.

I agree with everyone.. i clean it when I see that it is dirty.  I am one of those that believe a little dirt never hurt anyone and it builds the immune system.  Now, i don't let Gabriel chow down on germs but I don't follow him with the clorox wipes either...

Nope never did. Seems my little darlings came out alright. If you dont let abit of germs to get to your kids they will never build up thier immune systems.
