Today's question of the day is easy. What was the best thing before sliced bread? Seriously, what kind of bread do you mainly use? White? Wheat? Multi-grain? Do your kids like it?

We usually eat Whole Wheat or Multi Grain Breads.

The kids have never had white bread, so they don't know what it taste like.

Wheat-although my kids eat little bread.  White bread is a comfort food though,I had it all growing up and nothing beat a pbj on white when I am sad.

We mainly eat whole wheat or whole grain bread.  The kids have had white bread before, but they they seem to prefer wheat.

Whole wheat, or Multi-grain...and yup they love it! 

WHOLE GRAINS OR   DARK BREADS   always  (OK WHITE FOR FRENCH BREAD GARLIC BREAD W ITALIAN STYLE MEALS LOL )

We eat sprouted whole wheat bread - loves it and I can't think of a time that Rivers has had white bread yet.  Now, dh requests it specifically.

I am picky on the brands though and was very surprised at how many whole wheat breads also have high fructose corn syrup in them.  There are only about two or three brands that I will use at this point, which have just the minimal ingrediants.

I trick my kids - they think they are eating white, but I buy Sara Lee whole grain white.

It is something they eat and do not realize it is not full fledged white bread.

We use all of it.  My hubby is italian so bread (and cheese) is a staple in our house. We like the 12 grain the best.  and I love some good soft white bread with certain things...

 Whole 12 grain bread, and a fresh loaf of itilian bread on Sundays when we eat spegs....

 funny lil story about the bread seems fitting... neither of my children have ever seen white bread... ever

So when school started I was sending brad to school with his 12 grain pb and j's one day he came home and his sanwich was still in the lunch bag... I ask How come you didnt eat your sandwhich? he replied... "welll moma, Camron said my bread must have gone bad cause it was brown and all seedy"

It took a lot of convinceing to reassure the poor kid that his bread was just as good as his buddy Camrons... And I'm sure he had to let everyone at the lunch tabel know his food was fine too.

i buy double fiber whole grain bread.  It looks alomost like white bread but my kids don't know anything else right now.

My oldest (almost 13) sometimes will complain that there is no white bread but I remind her that I never buy white bread. 

Wheat bread for us. My 2 yr. old loves it she eats it plain out of the bag!!

I have a real hard time getting my husband (Jim) to eat whole wheat breads or even multi-grain. He loves his white bread, thats what he was raised on. So, when It comes to our daughter, I believe she will have a choice. I wouldnt want to push anything upon her. I believe anything in moderation is fine. (within reason, of course) But then again we really don't even go through that much bread. I'm lucky if the bread last before growing mold. lol, We do however eat a lot of pasta's and we stick with the norm there. I really havent found a whole wheat pasta that I like. Moderation I believe is the trick.

Wow I feel kinda bad after reading everyones post but we eat white bread. I grew up on it. Hmmmm Maybe its time for a change
