Well i have 2 boys who are going to be 3 years old in may, they dont want to go potty. My friends tell me to put them on the potty when I see that they are doing their thing LOL. A couple a days ago I noticed that they hide from me. I really dont know where to start, cleaning two boys and a little girl is hard. And not to metion the diapers, the doctor tells me not to pressure them that theyll go when their ready. But I dont know if any of you have had the same experience but they sometimes stick their hands in their diaper when they are pooped and they come put their hands in my face so I can see! LOL really dont know what to do! Really need some advice!

I have four three boys and one girl. I did not teach the boys how to go they did it themselves. They started by taking off theyr training pants and wanting to go around 3 1/2 years. I did teach my little girl how to go by sitting her on the seat with a Dora cushion and a cartoon book. I would leave her there for about 20minutes. At times she would do something and at times she would not. She learned in about two weeks. Now she goes. I say its harder to teach boys at least for me because I really don't know how to tell them they pee standing so maybe for me it was easyer to teach my girl. I know they will do good ljust have patience. | |

I have to agree with Blades67...the cherieo game really works...and I have 5 little boys in my homedaycare...the earliest to really consistantly use the potty is one 2 1/2 year old...the other little 2 1/2 is nowhere close to ready.(peeing...pooping is usually closer to 3 i find).. and my own little boy, is 3 1/2, peeing in potty since 9 months now and so far..has very vocally refused to use a potty to poop....so we kept buying diapers just for poops.... and as of just 2 weeks ago..he said, that I'm ready..and YEA he is now using #1 and #2 in the toilet!!

Posted: 12 months ago I used M&Ms as an incentive to go potty, only when then WENT in the potty. Also, after a day of no accidents I gave a bigger reward. Both my girls were potty trained by 22 months or so. I have heard though that it's a whole different ball game with boys though. |
