If you only have one child, it won't be sibling rivalry. Obviously. But really, there are a lot of ways kids can get on your nerves, love them as you do. So, what is it that gets under your skin?

My son will turn 2 on Feb. 1st, only child right now and given the age, I'm sure my "under the skin" item is minor...but for now I really get so annoyed with the grunting / whine he makes as his way to communicate, especially when I ask him direct & simple questions to figure out his need - a simple no / yes would be better then the noises. He can communicate, but when he really wants something, he grunts / whines.

My eight year old eats as if he hadn't had anything to eat in years. He puts as much food in his mouth and with two hands. I am trying to teach him how to take little bytes.

The one thing that I find the most irritating, at one time or another every one of my children has done it, not doing what is asked of them the FIRST time I have asked. I know they hear me, they know what it was I asked, they can repeat it back to me just fine, but they AREN"T doing it! LOL! You've just got to love selective hearing....my hubby has it too! Less is BEST!

I can not stand "the mouth" Elliott seems to get sometimes! He can be so mouthy and disrespectful. OMG!!! I just want to slap his mouth sometimes! (Don't worry I could never touch my handsome angel!) And he is defiant to . You tell him not to do something and he looks right at you and keeps doing it.

Ex: "Can I buy just one more toy? Please? Please? Please? Can I? Can I? Please? etc." No is no. Period. Estella

She also has gotten really mean with our dog. She is always hitting and kicking her. I cant stand it.

With Emma, it's definitely defiance and drama. When she starts to get overdone at all, she just becomes sassy and defiant and it makes me crazy. And the drama.....EVERY little tiny thing that doesn't go exactly the way she wants/expects, she bursts into tears and just freaks out. It completely makes Randy crazy, and then he starts yelling, and things escalate, and I just want to run out of the house! Ok, I'm better now. "I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth." -Psalm 57:9-11.

The things that get under my skin are the nose picking and eatting it. If I tell her no and that its gross she will tell me yum and do it again. The telling me no everytime I tell her to do something like pick up your toys or sit back down and finish eatting. Then when I punish her she laughs and hits me. Also if she refuses to sit back down and finish eatting I tell her all done and she will freak out but when i put it back down on the table she gives it to the dog.
