I am with Rach.. Don't fret about it at all! If I am cleaning the house, I don't take a shower or change until I am done... I'm sure I've been cought with a rats nest for a head of hair and not so fresh! Oh well......
The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.

Definitely been there, done that! The worst though was a couple months after Emma was born. I woke up in the morning, got Emma changed, and settled onto the living room chair to give her a bottle. Mind you, it was summer and we were in a little apartment, and I was in the habit of sleeping in undies and a sports bra. So, there I was when there was a knock at the door. Randy went to answer the door, and I hear him say "Hi! Come on in!" In walk my sister-in-law and her husband! Granted, I had mooned them once on the drive from St. Louis back to MN, but this was definitely not my finest hour. My SIL graciously said "Hey, could I hold Emma and feed her?" I quickly handed her over and ran to my room to change. What do ya do?

Life happens an if peeps come unannounced its risk WE take to surprize peeps hehheh Relax and dont sweat it Phil 4:8 think on those things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report,if there be any virtue any praise, think on these things Jesus loves the little children !!! The way I look at, if someone is going to be a surprise guest, they should pass no judgement on a person.

I try to be dressed or matched all the time...because I never know who is going to stop by and mostly at every moment my house is spotless to other people but a mess in my thoughts. At any rate... on my cleaning days or Pjs for days time...I don't look or feel very welcoming...I usually open the window on the second floor and say hold on while I change.... and If I am caught off guard and actually open the door or hubby opnes the door....my comment is usually...hey you gotta love me good and bad...full circle...this just happens to be a time I look terrible.....if its a guy...one of hubbys friends..they usually say,..hey I got a wife I know what your talking about...and if its a girl they usually say..do you think I look my best all the time....this isn't your modeling day is it...ha ha
With Love in my heart and tears in my eyes......I will pray for you always. xo | |

A similar thing happened to me on New Year's Day. A charming southern gentleman (and high school friend) dropped by unexpectedly to deliver black-eyed peas and cornbread.( Black-eyed-peas bring good luck if you eat them on New Year's Day.) I had been out late the night before, had slept in late, and answered the door looking like I had just rolled out of bed ( I had). I thought about not opening the door until I saw he had his hands full of something steaming and delicious. Hunger pangs won out over vanity, and I'm glad. It was delicious, he is still my friend after seeing the real me, and now I'm guaranteed a great 2008!
