I'm freaking out. I just found out that my baby has trisomy which is where an extra chromosome was somehow passed to the baby during conception. It can cause down syndrome, patau's syndrome, or edwards syndrome. I go to have a second sonogram on jan 18 to find out if they see anything wrong. Of course now my baby's considered high risk for developing a birth defect. How many women out there has gone through this and how did your baby turn out? 

There are so many different types.  Its hard to say until you know what kind it is.

Heres my thoughts    No matter the outcome  God has chosen YOU to be this babys parents  and you will love him/her anyway.... So why worry over dumb statistics  usually wrong  anyhow.  Many moms here have been tested for various birth abnormalities  and while things can and do go wrong, you are given  your own special child  with  whatever issues may be because He knows you are the  right and only parents for  this baby... and NO baby is IMPERFECT  in His sight ....  So Sweety Try Not to sweat the small stuff  and Dont let fear get you .. We are praying for you and your baby  and  we all love you  and will do our best to be here for you... I know its hard Not to Worry sometimes  but He said said He DID NOT give us a spirit of worry or fear  but of power of love and of a sound mind .  Blessings over you both momma and sweet baby

well I just got back from my sonogram and they didn't seeanything wrong so that's a plus. It looks as though I'm going to havea healthy baby boy.
