I worked for pier 1, it was in the same strip as a cosmetic company-the owner would always come in and shop.  One day she came in and asked 2 of us to do a commerrcial for Madison tv.  It was fun-we got our make-up done and we got a ton of free make-up.  One day when I was getting ready for work I saw it, it freaked me out! 

My son and I were in the local paper-that is about it for my kids-

I have won a radio contest, been interviewed on television, & my son has been featured on television,  on the news and in the newspaper many times.

It is nerve wrecking!

in 6th grade i was at a d.a.r.e. concert ang got interviewed...that same yr we had a teachers strike right befor the beginning of the school yr. i took the pickiting teachers sandwhiches and lemonade and got on the news for that.

never been in a commercial... but i was in a few plays in high school one big part ... was lucifer in "rest assured"

Once i called a radio station in nc cause they were making fun of cleveland... I got on the air with my rebuttal....

i think thats all my fame. 

I won Devils tickets on the radio once, but didn't have to go on the air. They just said my name after the contest ended. That was fun. As for TV -- I honestly don't think so. Maybe?

I was on a news show years ago, but not interviewed, I doing some volunteer activites for young children and there was spot about the program.

I also did a MommyTalk appearance on a live morning show here in AZ.

Television is pretty wierd, I don't think anything can really prepare you for that experience - it is just practice. 

Other then that, I have worked a variety of booths at different events, where I have to speak with people about different product & services the company I work for offers.  It is a show, you have to be on it 100% of the time.

I was on the news years ago whe I worked at the police dept.  Been in many news articles in hometown newspaper. 

Hannah was on KNIX Country here in Phnx.  She nominated her 2nd grade teacher for Teacher of the Week and she won, so Hannah read her nominating letter on the air.  It is the cutest thing, I have it recorded - it brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it.  I have it in the van and actually do listen to it often.

 

The only thing here is when my marraige was in the paper and when Joyce was born it was in the paper. Thats all here.

I do a lot of radio commercials here.  They are a lot of fun.  we spend a lot of time in the studio ROFL!!!  I love my job!!

When i was little, me, my sister, my aunt, and all my cousins were in a comercial for my grandpas resteraunt.  I was in another comercial for it when i was in 7th grade, but i was just sitting at a table in the back. 

I was on the radio when i was a lot younger a couple times.

When my chihuahuas were stolen and held for ransom during a burglary I was interviewed on two different news stations.  I even had to do a dramatization of what happened. ( No Academy Awards in my future) They showed pix of the dogs and made pleas to the public to help us find them. Three weeks to the day later, and $500 in ransom money later, we got them back, in terrible shape but alive. The news stations did a follow up story on our reunion. I was very grateful to the reporters who really got emotionally involved in the case.

my kk was on a childrens hosp telethon  as a pt .She LOVED it, then when she went to NY for NewYears Eve  she was on we at home were havin a party and saw her and her friends   right up front  that was cool... weve won grocery  Valentines  Meals, Grumpy ALwAYS sports tickets on his radio station...Sams been on radio  for requests and interveiwed for her toys for tots , KK  was on radio too for   contests... stuff like that  only      

When I was young my mom and dad put me in a Beauty school...they teach you to walk talk eat style...all that stuff..then they do head shots and set you up for commercials...photos shoots...anyway, I did 2 fashion shows formal wear, active wear, and casual.  Both of them were full house runway dinner show (I was 16)  This bought me to be noticed by a few companies I did a commercial for Clinque it was really fun and tiring.  I also became a hair model...because I was so short!!! I did about 15 Hair Shows in New York...and was a hair model for many hair magazines....They are very rough on you...it is not all fun and games.  My high school had TV is every room..we did news and commercials..updates and just some fun stuff..I did that for about a year.  I also did just about every talent show on stage at our school....I was in just about every Holiday Parade in Jersey...Cheerleading, Twirling, cheer mascot (I was the mascot when my older brother and older sister were iin the spot light) Those parades were about 4-5 a year...from when I was 5 until 17yrs old.  When I was in the military i wrote a few poems and stories that got published in the Navy Times..with my picture.  I was interviewed after I won the arm wrestling division in my class.  I have 5 poems published in a few books.  My mom use to put every accomplishment we had from military.. school.. marriage.. births...she woulld put an article in paper.  I was interviewed by a Reporter for Mommytalk..about holiday stuff last year and family picture and article was in Phoenix newspaper.  Channel 3 news came to my house and inerviewed Connor and I....when Megan choked on her hair clip while buckeled in backwards in her carseat.  Connor was her hero....because he was in the 3rd row seat and told mommy that Megan was making funny faces.  We both were on the news for 2 days straight..they kept airing it...morning mid day and night....my hope to be next one is...I put in an application to be part of the MOM squad on Your Life A-Z ....hopefully I will be doing that for fun!!!!

Years ago I was in a public safety commercial for Mesa Channel 11 about how to and when to call 9-1-1. I played the victim and was nailed in the head with a baseball! I was suppose to be unconcious and a police officer was to come to my rescue but the officer tripped and slid real hard into my upper arm. All I could do is sit up and laugh!!! The cop ended up breaking his foot and I had his shoe print on my arm!

When my son was about 2 yrs old we both did a print ad for AirEvac who were having thier 25th anniversary. I just told of my experience relating to my son being flown from Desert Sam hospital at birth to Phoenix Children's Hospital in Phoenix. That was really scary and the Flight nurse took real good care of my son. She even came to see us and my son while he was in the hospital. So I got several papers with the ad and kept them. My aunt inlaw had it laminated for me. A few days later we went to AirEvac' open house celebrating thier 25th anniversary and we met up with the flight nurse again. Got my son's picture taken with her and the incubator that he was in. So cool.

Was on the news a couple years ago because my neighbor had over 50 cats in thier house and the news people asked me about it. 10 of the cats were dead and the family abandoned the home 3 wks before.

Alot of the time you might catch a glimpse of me on the news if the news people are at an accident scene and Im there. Thats happened before! If I am working that day.

I plan on going this Saturday to Shnepf Farms for a party and a commercial for News Channel 3. Its a big ole Thank you party from Bruce Haffner and they will be attempting the world record in CPR training and to be in a commercial. Cant wait. Im taking my kids with me.

i was on the wallace and ladmo show and won hehe, i won tickets on the radio for a concert (meatpuppets and toadies). in elementary and jr high i was in chorus then girls chorus and we would perform at metro center mall, the state fair, at the capital and other places. last thing was being in a article on spring cleaning in the local paper.
