Title: QoD - Kept Resolutions
Posted: 1 years ago

We all make resolutions, right? January 1st somehow offers a do-over and you get a fresh year ahead of you to work with as you see fit. So how many resolutions have we all made over the years and have there been any that have come to fruition?

I have to say that I have proudly never kept a resolution.  They have all been very far fetched though.  I do have to give credit to my brother who makes crazy resolutions like "no potatoe chips" "no soda" "no french fries" "no fried foods at all"  all in different years, however, he kept them all.  It was amazing how much you have to watch.  Pretty much every sandwich servedcomes with a side of chips or fries and he would just eat the sandwich and leave it alone.  It was amazing.  But then again he's got great self control!

I really don't have a resolution that I kept. It always gets pushed to the back burner- or life gets in the way- here's hoping for this year!

I haven't made actual New Years resolutions in years, I guess because I never kept them.  Instead, I use the time to evaluate my personal goals and where I am at on them.  I will pinpoint a couple of milestones, but do not call them resolutions.

This process works for me and I seem to get more accomplished, like last year, a milestone was that I would incorporate a regular excerise routine back into my life and by April, I did.  However, I did not state specifically what it was and when I would do it.  This way, I would not feel like I did not keep the resolution and throw it out the window saying, "next year I will keep it".

I can not recall any resolutions that I have made and kept or made and failed at!  BUT>>>>>This year I have made a resolution to be HAPPY!!! I don't want to drown myself in self pity and constantly whine about what I don't have, and worry about money and posessions any more.  I am going to pay attention to the little things in life.  The things I tend to take for granted and never hold dear the way I should.  Like I don't think I could write a blog about a wonderful thing that happened every month last year,  that is just sad.  I will be happier!!! I will!!!

I never make resolutions.  Why wait til January to decide to do things better for your life?  Start anytime during the year.

I dont make new years resolutions.  Mostly because i know i wont keep them and then i will feel like a failure.

But this year, I am going to set a few goals for myself, and try to keep them.  For example, I am going to try and journal this year.  I might make it a 21 day challenge.  I think it would be really cool to be able to look over a journal at the end of the year, and see all the wonderful, and not so wonderful things that happend that year.  Also i think it might be cool to be able to look over it when Autumn is older and see what we did together.

I don't know if I've ever kept one. I know I make them every year just because well... why not? I usually do the things I intend to do, but I don't remember which things I do were set as resolutions.

Well I will have to agree with alot here on this one. I dont make any resolutions cause I know I wont keep them. Like a few have said you can change things any time of the year.
