Title: QoD - Clinton or Obama

So we realize that they're both Democrats and clearly they won't be running for actual office against each other, but right now they're running for the Primary against each other in a very close race. They both seem to have a pretty loyal following. Maybe you don't like either of them and plan to vote Republican or Independent, but if you HAD TO pick between these two, which one would you prefer to see?

Although I consider myself a Democrate I don't know if I could pick either. The world changes every day-minute-second and the way it is now I don't see either of these two leading us in the right or left directionSmile What is best for this country I believe is a great 3rd party Canidite who can shake up this race. The truth is most people in the country are neither nor a political party. The right scares them with Right to Life isses, and Big goverment. The left scares with Right to Choice and Big Business and they both scares with pulling votes to who should really win- because it is not at all possible for a third party to win.

But I guess if I had to pick one, holding a gun to my head, Hillary due to experience only

for the record, the corporate position here is not to be an explicit mouthpiece of any particular religion.

with that said, if it would be interesting to see 'how much time per week do you spend on personal religious time, whatever religion it might be?' or some such, it would be fine.  then in the response, people can talk about prayer or spells or whatever they wish.

make sense?

Touche  But.... if you will note I have submitted all GENERAL  questions NOT pertaining to Any particular religion   and all can answer or not  and say what they think lol ... Also  its so DUMB to be having discussion as I, speaking for self ,  have submitted SEVERAL topics to consider as questions and only  thing complained about is general mainstream topic LOL  how silly is that?

   PS

Any question can be turned into a controversy  as we all think differently!!! To say avoid  controversial questions  suggests  lets  ask nothing..lol  Even as mundane a question   as    Do you prefer cats or dogs and why ?    can stir up differrent  , passionate opinions  !  And  Is it OK  to spank or Not???   Definately controversial in todays society  sooooo Take it as you you wish  but as long as there are differnt veiws  there WILL be Controvery .. Does that mean we oughtnt share our thoughts /feelings???   America  Freedom of speech, of thought , of opinions ..... AHHHHH Dont you love this great land of ours?

But bear in mind, that while it is posted as coming from you, it can be easily construed as an endorsement of sorts.

It is sooooo far removed from 'what's your favorite soda' or 'what item at thanksgiving dinner can you not do without?'

It is pretty easy to come up with questions that have zero controversey, there is no point in getting into it.

OK Thats the stance for religion Well You have now combined religion AND politics AND Endorsement  of a Political Party with this ABSOLUTELY  BIASED  question !!!!

I say that as Obama will Swear on the Koran , not the Bible  his Oeath  and seems to me we are  at war  with  his people , his religion, as that was reason  sited for the suicide bombers  for 911... I am  OFFENDED  by  the THEIVES  (meaning Clinton) and   the ENEMY, (so to speak) running for office .Why not add Arnold  to list tho he CLAIMS to be a republican...seems hes really a demacrat  in disguise... and   as this IS A DEMOCRATIC QOD   also seems rather biased!!! And   absolute  ENDORSEMENT  of  Demacratic party . In my WILDEST  imagination I would see NEITHER in Office !!!

And as for my  harsh sounding post Im trying to make a point here on QOD Ideas!!!! Whats  OFFENSIVE  to some and disrespectful  is very legimate to others.. Obviously  the staff here thought this very CLEARLY QOD  looking at ONE  partys  canidates  can ONLY be construed   as Endorsement   LOL    So  I decided was a Great OPPORTUNITY to make my point .. Respectfully  speaking I did finally answer the question hehheh    But   I had to  deal w  the  bigger issue than the silly question   .I actually gave John Edwards my support for that party Wink

Ok, I am going to finally pick one, instead of bashing everyone.  Hillary Clinton 2008 - I think the USA is far more ready for a woman president than a black president.  And going to see Chris Rock on his opening comedy tour last night her in Phnx, he stated the same.  However, he brought up good tips on Obama also.  I am neither Democrat or Republican - I am a GDI, but the questions was which one would you choose.

I understand peoples beliefs and their stead fast die hard party backing.  However, did we know what tomorrows or the next QOD would be, maybe it would have been McCain or Guilianni - to which, I would have said who I would have voted for in that Republican party.  This is a controversial subject to those who read between the lines.  Just step back and take a DEEP breathe and let it roll.

Can I say who I am going to vote for - NO, because I do not know who the final tow or three if a GDI gets in - but If I have to choose a Dem right now, Hillary would be my choice.

As a Republican, I will not be voting in the Democratic primaries, BUT I have been keeping tabs on most of the democratic candidates. I make it my business to know all of the people running for the presidency of my country. As offensive as they may be, here are my two cents. NOTE: THESE ARE PURELY MY OPINION AND NOT MEANT TO OFFEND.

Hillary Clinton, probably the worst choice for the presidency, in my humble opinion. Not because she is a woman, but because she flip-flops faster than a cheap hooker on payday. Yeah, that's right, I went there. Her viewpoints are constantly changing as she strives to streamline her campaign with the most popular opinion of the people. She won't even stick to her guns on topics such as the war in Iraq. She began by saying she was for the war, now she is saying that she was ALWAYS against the war (So are we at war with East Asia or Eurasia, I can't remember :-p). I also find her campaign plan to be quite shallow and pedantic. She is constantly bashing her opponents' ideas and merely disagreeing just saying that it their idea is bad. She cannot promote herself without trying to take someone else down a peg. She just can't stand in her own merit. To her credit, she was married to Bill Clinton who, despite his shortcomings, brought our national debt down to the lowest it has been since the Reagan administration.

Barack Obama, I have some respect for. Despite all the guff he gets on issues and his actions (for example, the Pledge of Allegiance controversy), he sticks to his guns and doesn't give excuses. Needless to say that some the things that he has done weren't necessarily right. If he loses purely because of his race, that would really be shame, because he seems like a really decent human being.

Overall, I would most likely give my vote to Obama, but only if the Republican nominee were Giuliani (but that is a whole different can of worms). Despite who you pick, make sure you REALLY KNOW YOUR CANDIDATE. There are enough candidates to choose from, not just Hillary and Obama. So choose wisely.

To be more precise, Obama is not muslim and would not swear in on the Koran.

That is a vicious Internet rumor and those who spread it are the willing pawns of fear mongers, crooks and charlatans.

I personally don't care for Hillary and would support Obama in this hypothetical.

As I will say again in teh Republican version of this question, I am a Ron  Paul supporter and will probably write his name in if I have to.

Like the post previous to Scarletsdad's, which I agree with heartily, Clinton would be the least palatable choice, and precisely for the reasons stated. Though I would disagree with Obama religious believes if he's Muslim, those are not enough to dismiss him as a viable choice. Its his political ideas that would dissuade me. Even so, if given no other option, I'd vote for him to prevent her from being elected. Just so you know I'm not being sexist; like Antygamma stated earlier, I would have voted for Elizabeth Dole, and I thought Margaret Thatcher was an excellent Prime Minister.

OK I will  say this short and sweet ... I made this post as a point on relevance of ANY highly  passionate questions... Religious vrs political   or any other topic

Obama admittedly  I should have snoped  first , but it proves nor disproves little  of what Ive read /heard from various scources... tho like Bill, he does have a certain  charisma . yet,   as w Arnold S  , I didnt want him in office either and hes shown me a zillion reasons why Ill never like him there... As for Hillary   shes already made her lasting impression on me   and  will never like her for ZILLIONS of reasons , in office...

Honestly I just dont get why this type questions OK and general religious questions are not. That my friends, is the big point I was trying to make tho my method   was obviously off the mark.  I really havent  yet given too much thought to whom Id like to see till I see who we have as choices  at which point I will take whole topic far more  seriously.  And thats  Alll Folks

As a woman myself if Clinton became president I would leave the country! Once a month she'd want to blow something up. Not to mention I think her idiot husband would have his hand in EVERYTHING! Just another way of Billy to run to country again.

Clinton gets my vote because we'll get two presidents in one. I thought Bill was a great prez. We need someone who understands diplomacy now that we are despised by most of the world.  Bill can give Hillary some pointers as he is an articulate communicator and a brilliant man. Hillary is equally or more brilliant but lacking charisma. That can be learned.
