If you live near casinos (and Vegas, Atlantic City and Foxwoods are all that come to mind, but there are actually casinos all around the country), you've probably played a little bit here and there. If you don't, maybe you like OTB (off-track betting) halls or perhaps you're a poker junkie or just love the Powerball or Mega Millions. Scratch offs? Maybe you just like buying a box in the SuperBowl pool.

I refuse to lose more than $20 at a casino, wish my DH felt the same way - he will lose a mint before he quits.  I get mad that I am always making deposits at those places instead of a withdrawl.  I buy lottery tickets when I think about it, big jackpot or not.  DH likes the OTB & horse or dog tracks also, and sports betting - that is generally where he is best.

does bingo count? I recently went to play bingo was boring as hell and I didnt win anything so I dont think I'll be going back.

I do lottery when i can remember which is hardly ever and usually get reminded by hubby when I do play its just not something I think about.

There is a saying, "Lucky in love, unlucky in gambling. " I must be really, really lucky in love because I never come home with a dime. 

When I am there... i do gamble but when I am home, i don't play the lottery but maybe once a year.  No bingo, no sports, nada... So all in all, maybe 100 bucks a year.  I dn't think that's so bad.

I don't have the attention span for gambling and the few times I have after about $25 spent, I'm bored and thinking about the things I could spend my $$ on and take home.

I've gone to the casino a few times with my Mom.  She loves the slots.  Dh was with me one time and he bought dollar tokens instead of quarters...I sent him back to eschange them, but he left 5 dollars worth with me.  I put 3 in a machine and won $200, so I quit.  I had more fun watching others knowing I already had my winnings!

Gambling is illegal here in Nebraska, well I should say that Casinos are illegal. We have the lottery and scratch offs. I don't play. I always think about what I should be spending the money on. I have went to a Casino about 10 years ago, spent about 25 bucks and left with my pockets 25 dollars lighter.  I like to play poker online.....not for real money though.

I have not been the casinos yet. I really want to go to Mountnier. I think that would be fun. I use to go to Bingo all the time. But now that they made Ohio smke free dont go that much. Cant sit there and smoke and play its not that much fun any more. I do play the Lottery some times and Play the scratch offs alot. Theres times I am really lucky and there are dry spells which sucks.

Well, I've been to Las Vegas (LOVED IT!) and didn't do anything more than play the slots. I wish I had the balls to sit at the big tables, but I don't (yet). Living in NJ, I've also been to Atlantic City -- also to only play the slots. However, we also have the Meadowlands Racetrack here and I have bet on the horses, in addition to going to OTB to place some bets. I'll buy scratch offs here and there, but I also do buy a Mega Millions ticket once a month or so. I'll definitely do a SuperBowl pool each year -- love to buy the boxes... so yeah, I gamble. Why not.

we dont gamble and if we do its for pretend with eachother it just seems a big waste of money to me and i'd rather go to the zoo or see the scenery with that money then spend it in a dark casino with a bunch of sweaty,mad,upset,screaming,happy,excited bipolar people.

I went to Las Vegas years ago, I had a 102 degree fever and felt miserable.  I did enjoy the couple of shows that we went to, but that was about it.  Hubby gambles away the money like we have tons, which we don't, so I find it frustrating. 

Here's just one example...the year I was pregnant with our second child, we went to Laughlin.  Hubby went to get the car for me since we were ready to leave, he didn't come back for over an hour.  Lost every last dime that he had.  We had barely enough gas money to get home.  I think that was the year he lost almost $600.  I cried, alot! It is funny now, but it wasn't very funny back then.  I like to gamble when the money isn't real, I guess that really isn't gambling though, huh?! LOL!

OMG!!!!!!!!  This is my DH!  He spends money like water on any kind of gambling you can think of!!!!  Poker tournaments. Scratch of lottery.  Powerball.  Sports polls.  OTB.  Bets on his bowling.  OMG!!!!!!!!  But he is pretty lucky usually gets back a little more than what he puts in.  With is bowling he looks at it like he is making money for the fam.  WRONG.  The cash never goes back in the account!! LOL!!!  Just pays for more bowling!!!   Me, I am very unlucky.  Lost at all my scratch tickets from christmas.  But I did win the 50/50 at bowling last night!!!  Which actually my DH bought the tickets then left them with me while he went to play POKER!!!!!!!!

I do like to gamble but I do not like to lose!  But we don't gamle on a regular basis.  If we go to Vegas, I'm the one sitting at the Blackjack table drinking and gambling while my DH watches!

I do play Bunco once a month with a group of women and I've actually won a couple of times!

It's funny, the women in my family are all drinkers and gamblers and the men are more on the quiet side....our DH's must like their women a little wild in my family! 

I guess hubby and I are big risk takers....We use to go to Vegas every six months.  My husband taught me many tricks of the trade..actually one of my husbands desires is to be in the World Poker Tournament.  He is so good....I am pretty good myself...We play Texas Hold'em..Black Jack..in my free time when hubby is at the tables...I played $1 slots....I always went to the same machine every time...and I have won over 10K off that machine......not much talent in that...but I love it.  AZ has these poker tournaments in different restaurants and bars a few a night every weekend..they are free but if you win the several weeks of points adding up and placement then the final table they give you a seat in a tournment fly you to vegas to play for the BIG Table.....It is so much fun!!!! yes, you go up and down in money but if you set the amount to the side and play only with your winnings...you never really go down.
