Train ridership is up in some parts and bus stops are getting more and more crowded. So what's your routine like? Are you in or near a big city or are you in the small 'burbs?

The daily commute - what a waste of time. Currently, my commute is 30 minutes each way and I drive it because I live in a state that does not have great public transportation. It does bother me that Ihave to be a solo driver; however, having that extra hour back in my day has made a world of difference for finding a healthier balance in life.

another reason why I love MT....hehe makes my commute to work 30 steps or less I'm guessing... depends on where I am in the house. those steps are never wasted t ime I never leave a room emoty handed.... and I'm always picking up things as I walk through. or giving a piggy back ride.

I don't live in an area with public trans. But i never minded, it was my time in the morning to gather my thoughts, and my time in the evening to unwind before getting back to my hubby. I enjoyed it. (except when I had to fill the car up with gas) The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.

My commute is generally 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. I actually like it, I listen to books on audio to pass the time. Being a busy mom I do not have time to read a book at night like I would like, and it would take away from MT time, so I listen to em. Great release of time and I stay off my cell phone when I have a good one!

One takes me 15 minutes, and the other 20 minutes by car. Both are really easy to get to with little traffic. I feel really lucky as I hate to drive. Estella

I leave at 5:30-6 am so as to miss it. I would love to take public transportation - before I had Nina I would park and ride and take the bus 3-4 times a week but it adds about 1.5 hours to my day. Once we had her and I had to pick her up at a certain time, that was no longer possible. Hopefully the city will have more options available in the future. For now, both of our cars get great gas mileage - we have one hybrid car and one small 4-cylinder. |
