I am thinking I still would like one more child (of course I need to talk DH into it). Am I getting too old for this? Maybe I should shut down the baby mill and wait for grandchildren. Posted: 1 years ago As long as you and your hubby want the same thing, go for it! The ob/gyn will run additional tests to make sure your body is handling the pregnancy well things are progressing smoothly. Best of luck in making the decision and happy trying!!! The older you get, the more risk you have in having a baby that isn't what the medical field would call 'normal'. I was more tired, grouchy, and had more aches and pains with this last pregnancy. Joshua is 9 months now, and I am still so tired. He doesn't sleep through the night and the teething pains are the worst. I feel that it is worse since I am 39, no spring chicken anymore. I wouldn't give up Joshua for anything but there will not be a #4 either ( I made sure of that). Good luck in whatever you choose. Stop and look how miraculous God is by the colors of the season.

Sometimes I think we are only as old as we feel. Today, I feel 21! LOL! Tomorrow I might feel like I am 67 going on 90.

I know so many women above 40 with toddlers and newborns it seems. An attorney I work with is 42 (looks about 30) and has two girls, one of whom is only a few months old and the other is 2-1/2. You most certainly can have them if you want to and the doctor says there's no reason not to.

Posted: 1 years ago I know several people over the age of 40 that have decided to have either their first child or a baby after having older chlidren. I don't know a single one of them that regrets their choice. One of the ladies I know who has a 17 year old and decided to have a baby when she was 40 had another little one 3 years later. I know she's enjoying where she's at.

It is a decision that you and your hubby need to make together. I don't think that there is an arbitrary age when people need to be done. It completely depends on the individual. I wish you the best, whatever you decide! "I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth." -Psalm 57:9-11.

Posted: 1 years ago Do you have older children, and if so, how much older would they be than the possible new baby? I have two siblings near my age and then a sibling who is 20 years younger. My mom isn't as able to be as involved with my child because she is raising a small child herself. It is also a big adjustment for my parents in relation to spending time with their friends, who are now empty nesters and have a freer lifestyle....Not trying to discourage, but just from the perspective of a sibling in a similar situation.

Posted: 1 years ago I know how you feel, I am 38 and I have a 18, 16, 2, and soon to be newborn. My husband and I are still undecided if we will have another after the baby is born or not. At this point, 7 months along, another one isnt looking to promising. I am tired and my back hurts. So we decided not to do anything permanant to not have any and if we get pregnant again, well, we get pregnant again, no big deal. But we wont try, so if it was meant to be, then it will happen (we do plan on using precautions though). So my way of looking at it, is if you are both willing and you feel that you can personally handle it, go for it. It is a matter for you and your husband to determine if it is the right thing or not. I am tickled with Amber and soon to be baby Colin. Well good luck on what ever you decided.
